    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Provides care to patients under the supervision of a physical or occupational therapist. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<li>Review relevant clinical data.</li>\n<li>Collaborates and coordinates patients care plans with patient/family and other care providers.</li>\n<li>Perform therapeutic procedures for clients as outlined in patient’s plan of care.</li>\n<li>Participates in patient/family teaching.</li>\n<li>Maintain clinical and professional competency.</li>\n<li>Completes all documentation requirements in the established time frame.</li>\n<li>Communicates to therapist as needed related to patient needs/goals.</li>\n<li>Attends in service programs and departmental or hospital meetings.</li>\n<li>Shares experience by mentoring students, new employees, volunteers and presenting in services.</li>\n<li>Maintains involvement in department and hospital activities.</li>\n<li>Provides feedback to the Manager.</li>\n<li>Assist in departmental planning, staff training, performance improvement, and clinical service development.</li>\n<li>Assist with departmental productivity by fulfilling individual work responsibilities and reporting significant variances in patient volume that may require manager adjustments to staffing.</li>\n<p><strong>DCH Standards:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Maintains performance, patient and employee satisfaction and financial standards as outlined in the performance evaluation.</li>\n <li>Performs compliance requirements as outlined in the Employee Handbook</li>\n <li>Must adhere to the DCH Behavioral Standards including creating positive relationships with patients/families, coworkers, colleagues and with self.</li>\n <li>Requires use of electronic mail, time and attendance software, learning management software and intranet.</li>\n <li>Must adhere to all DCH Health System policies and procedures.</li>\n <li>All other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>Current Alabama PTA/OTA licensure. Maintain active status with license in good standing with licensing agency.
