We currently have an opportunity for a <strong>Packaging </strong><strong>Packer</strong> to join our team at our manufacturing facility in Wheeling, IL.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Pay: $18.14 / Hour</strong></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Your Role:</strong></p>\n<p>Inspect and pack finished product for shipment.</p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>You will have the opportunity to Make Great Things Happen!</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Read and interpret written work order to ensure type, quantity, quality of product, and any special customer instructions are followed in production process.</li>\n <li>Pack finished product into shipping cartons, bulk packs, or other containers according to information on press log or from supervisor/lead.</li>\n <li>Pack products on running machines and place product into each case. </li>\n <li>Lift and pack stacks of product.</li>\n <li>Select appropriate amount of product either by measuring; hand counting or counting done by a stacker system.</li>\n <li>Assemble cartons by folding and closing with hand taper or tape machine. </li>\n <li>Combination packaging of product to include regular packing with the addition of a pre‑counted bag of plastic domes or foil laminated boards to be placed in box before adding aluminum pans. </li>\n <li>Monitor materials and product for defects.</li>\n <li>Scrap aluminum product that does not meet quality specification. </li>\n <li>Move skids/pallets and visually inspect for functionality, and discard if broken.</li>\n <li>Feed packaging lines with pans, domes and/or other product. </li>\n <li>Fill band, glue and label machines.</li>\n <li>Follow instructions and push buttons to call the Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) to pick up packed product.</li>\n <li>Visually inspect product to determine satisfactory quality and count product to ensure quantity is according to specifications.</li>\n <li>Comply with all Plant rules, safety rules, GMP and PPE guidelines, and department work instructions. </li>\n <li>Work as directed by department supervisor and as assigned by shift lead.</li>\n <li>Perform housekeeping duties.</li>\n <li>Any and all other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>You will love it here if…</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>You put safety first, always </li>\n <li>You listen, learn, and evolve </li>\n <li>You are passionate about collaboration, teamwork, and achieving shared goals </li>\n <li>You treat all people with respect, operating ethically, and embrace inclusivity</li>\n <li>You are committed to improving our impact on local communities</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Requirements</h2>\n<p>INTERESTED EMPLOYEES MAY OBTAIN AN APPLICATION FORM FROM THE JOB BID BOX.
