As experts in the technology of light, G&amp;H works with customers to provide optical systems, assemblies, and components for demanding applications. We are currently recruiting for temporary Optical Workers in our Polishing department; the role involves polishing ultraprecision optics to reduce surface roughness to give them superior performance in demanding applications.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Main responsibilities of the role include;</strong></p><p>• To set up machinery, processes and equipment to enable the safe manufacture of optics throughout the production process</p><p>• To follow written procedures to ensure the best methods and equipment are used at any given time</p><p>• Take responsibility of department/cell quality, output, safety and improvement targets</p><p>• Clean production equipment and work areas</p><p>• Inspect and clean optics to required specification</p><p>• Follow the MRB process for non-conforming parts</p><p>• Ensure history card and other documentation is completed</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Ideal candidates will have the following;</strong></p><p>• GCSE or equivalent qualifications in English, Maths and Science (Grade C+)</p><p>• Used to working to tight deadlines</p><p>• Ability to follow instructions accurately</p><p>• Good with problem solving and results orientated</p><p>• Ability to work on own initiative</p><p>• Good manual handling skills</p><p>• Flexibility and openness to working overtime when required</p><p>• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and computer literacy</p><p><br></p><p><strong>As well as a competitive salary and training, company benefits include;</strong></p><p>• x1.5 overtime after 39 hours, x2 overtime for Sundays / Bank holidays</p><p>• Site bonus&nbsp;</p><p>• 25 days holiday plus bank holidays</p><p>• Company pension pays 6%</p><p>• Company bonus scheme</p><p>• Health Cash Plan</p><p>• £500 bonus for friend referral scheme (Ts and Cs apply)</p>",
