About Us Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts (PPLM) is the state’s leading provider of sexual and reproductive health care, nationally recognized for education and research. Position Summary The Bilingual Community Health Educator (BCHE) provides sexuality education programming in English and Spanish to parents and caregivers, with the goal of empowering them to serve as the primary sexuality educators of their children. This role facilitates education for young parents both within and outside of school settings in alignment with the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH) Adolescent Sexuality Education (ASE) grant. The BCHE also represents the organization in community settings, builds and sustains partnerships, and collaborates closely with education staff to ensure culturally responsive, research‑based programming that meets community needs. Key Responsibilities: Build and maintain relationships with community partners to host Parent Education and Adolescent Sexuality Education (ASE) programming. Coordinate and facilitate in‑person and virtual workshops and presentations, including Let’s Be Honest/Seamos Honestos (LBH/SH) , Get Real: Comprehensive Sex Education That Works (GRHS) , VOICES , and other approved curricula, in both English and Spanish. Schedule and confirm program dates; collect required demographic data, attendance records, and evaluation surveys. Maintain accurate, timely records of program activities, reach, and outcomes. Collaborate with Parent and Youth Education staff on events, conferences, and training opportunities. Coordinate with ASE community partners to ensure effective delivery of curricula via in‑person and virtual cohorts. Participate in translation, adaptation, and review of Spanish‑language materials to ensure cultural relevance and accuracy. Contribute to curriculum updates, facilitator guides, training materials, and program designs in both English and Spanish. Develop and contribute content for digital platforms, including www.kids‑ask.org, parent newsletters, and related resources. Attend team meetings, supervisory meetings, and departmental meetings as scheduled. Contribute to monthly, grant, budget, and evaluation reports, including demographic data, attendance, and participant feedback. Additional Duties Apply research‑ and evidence‑based facilitation and training best practices. Maintain current knowledge of sexual and reproductive health and sexuality education. Participate in professional development, advisory committees, and educator networks as assigned. Perform other related duties as needed. Qualifications: Required Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English , spoken and written. Strong facilitation and presentation skills for both in‑person and virtual settings. Ability and availability to work evenings and occasional weekends. Reliable transportation and ability to travel frequently within Massachusetts. Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment. Demonstrated ability to engage respectfully with individuals and communities across diverse backgrounds and experiences. Commitment to addressing the impact of racism and other systems of oppression on sexual health. Alignment with and commitment to the organization’s mission and values. Preferred Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent combination of education and experience. Two or more years of experience teaching in a high school or comparable educational setting. Experience in sexual health, sexuality education, or reproductive health programming. Experience facilitating workshops for adult learners. Familiarity with Massachusetts‑based community organizations and service agencies.
