Position Summary
The Foundation for Fresh Produce (The Foundation) is a global philanthropic nonprofit dedicated to growing a healthier world by changing the trajectory of human health. With ambitious goals to become an influential, global foundation, The Foundation advances fruit and vegetable consumption as a cornerstone of improved health, equity, and long-term demand.
The Director of Development is responsible for driving philanthropic revenue growth that enables the Foundation’s programs and Theory of Change to scale. This is a results-oriented leadership role focused on execution, opportunity expansion, and sustained revenue generation across institutional philanthropy, major donors, and aligned corporate partners.

The Director of Development is expected to doggedly execute that strategy, expand funding opportunities, and convert relationships into meaningful philanthropic investment. This role requires poise, professionalism, tenacity, and persistence—balancing long-term partnership building with a clear expectation of results.
The Director works closely with the President on high-level donor engagement and serves as the Foundation’s primary development leader, guiding an external grant agency and collaborating across the organization to ensure strong cases for support, disciplined follow-through, and measurable outcomes.
