Together, the university’s community of doers, makers, healers, and innovators empowers graduates to change the world, solve 21st-century challenges, and reinvent the future.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>For more information, visit nyit.edu.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>New York Institute of Technology's College of Osteopathic Medicine is seeking an Assistant Professor at our Jonesboro campus.  </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <ul>\n  <li>Manage overall use and integration of simulation resources (Standardized Patient labs, Simulated OR, ER, Telemedicine, and Medical Skills activities).</li>\n  <li>Coordinate curricular integration of simulation across academic programs and campuses (Jonesboro and Old Westbury).</li>\n  <li>Develop and coordinate interprofessional education initiatives within and outside the campus.</li>\n  <li>Coordinate with faculty on curriculum integration of best practices in simulation.</li>\n  <li>Design and evaluate clinical simulation curriculum to ensure expected competencies.</li>\n  <li>Ensure instruction aligns with national professional standards for graduate competencies.</li>\n  <li>Design and implement faculty development programs for clinical simulation, debriefing, and assessment.</li>\n  <li>Oversee collection of student and Standardized Patient (SP) data.</li>\n  <li>Oversee collection of program evaluation and learning outcome data.</li>\n  <li>Provide analysis of collected data to appropriate stakeholders.</li>\n  <li>Prepare reports on program activities, accreditation requirements, student concerns, and successes.</li>\n  <li>Coordinate curriculum and data with counterparts at Old Westbury campus.</li>\n  <li>Develop and enforce policies and procedures for safe, effective, and efficient use of lab space, equipment, and supplies.</li>\n  <li>Ensure compliance with accreditation standards.</li>\n  <li>Ensure quality assurance systems are in place, utilized, and effective.</li>\n  <li>Plan for replacement of existing equipment and the purchase of new technology.</li>\n  <li>Collaborate with IT to meet simulation program needs and deliver onsite, web-based, or distance learning experiences.</li>\n  <li>Collaborate and assist with IRB-approved research studies.</li>\n  <li>Provide indirect supervision of Standardized Patients.</li>\n  <li>Participate in meetings, seminars, and conferences for professional development.</li>\n  <li>Provide instructional support to medical students across all four years of the curriculum, focusing on clinical history-taking, physical examination skills, standardized patient encounter debriefings, small-group facilitation, and other clinically relevant learning activities.</li>\n </ul>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Education: D.O. or M.D. degree from a COCA or LCME approved school of medicine</li>\n <li> Board Certified or Board Eligible.
