This position requires strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to synthesize complex information into clear, well-supported conclusions.</p>\n<h2>Background</h2>\n<p>Ardent Eagle Solutions (AES) is seeking a <strong>Research Analyst</strong> to support a Department of Commerce (DOC) program. This role is responsible for conducting detailed analytical and evaluative work in support of regulatory and programmatic decision-making.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Conduct <strong>comprehensive research and analysis</strong> to examine facts, principles, and trends relevant to program objectives</li>\n <li>Evaluate data from <strong>public records, industry sources, and other research channels</strong> to support decision-making</li>\n <li>Prepare <strong>detailed investigative reports</strong> that clearly document findings, methodologies, and conclusions</li>\n <li>Synthesize complex information into <strong>clear, concise, and defensible recommendations</strong></li>\n <li>Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to validate findings and ensure analytical consistency</li>\n <li>Work both <strong>independently and within a team environment</strong> under the direction of a Project Manager</li>\n <li>Maintain documentation and ensure adherence to program standards and analytical methodologies</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum <strong>2 years of experience</strong> in an analytical, research, or evaluation-focused role</li>\n <li>Strong ability to analyze and interpret <strong>qualitative and quantitative data</strong></li>\n <li>Experience working with <strong>multiple data sources</strong> and synthesizing findings into actionable insights</li>\n <li>Excellent written communication skills, particularly in <strong>report writing and documentation</strong></li>\n <li>Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities</li>\n <li>Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a structured environment</li>\n <li>This position may require the ability to obtain and maintain a <strong>Public Trust clearance</strong> or other government suitability determination</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Education</h2>\n<p><strong>Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS)</strong> in a scientific discipline and 4 years of research experience</p>\n<ul>\n <li><em>Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree</em></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Compensation</h2>\n<p>The compensation range for this position is $88,000 - $102,000 per year. Compensation will be discussed in greater detail with candidates who advance in the interview process, allowing for a comprehensive evaluation of qualifications and alignment with role requirements.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Compensation Disclaimer:</strong>The salary range provided for this position represents a general guideline. Final compensation will be determined at the Company’s discretion based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, skills, education, internal equity, geographic location, and contract requirements. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range.</p>\n<h2>Location and Work Hours</h2>\n<p>This position supports a <strong>hybrid work schedule</strong> and requires regular on-site presence.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Employees will be expected to report on-site several days per week, with the specific schedule determined in coordination with their Supervisor. As such, candidates must reside within a <strong>reasonable commuting distance</strong> of Boulder, CO. This position is not eligible for full-time remote work or for candidates located outside of the local commuting area.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Standard working hours are based on a <strong>40-hour work week</strong>, Monday through Friday. While some flexibility may be available, employees are generally expected to be available during <strong>core business hours of 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM MT</strong>.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>When working remotely, employees must have access to a <strong>reliable internet connection</strong> and a suitable work environment that supports productivity and compliance with company policies.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This position supports a hybrid work schedule, which means employees are authorized to alternate between on-site and telework days on a schedule agreed upon and approved by their Supervisor.
