          "text": "<p>The Biotherapeutics and Genetic Medicine (BGM) department at AbbVie is seeking a motivated Principal Research Scientist to join the growing siRNA team. In this role, you will work with the genetic medicine teams to establish siRNA synthesis, purification, and analytical capabilities.&#xa0;You will serve as a subject matter expert in oligonucleotide chemistry and siRNA production, with responsibility for generating high-quality siRNA materials to advance genetic medicine studies.</p><p>Responsibilities:&#xa0;</p><ul><li>Lead the siRNA&#xa0;synthesis platform&#xa0;to support&#xa0;various stages of siRNA studies.&#xa0;</li><li>Oversee solid-phase oligonucleotide synthesis, deprotection, purification, desalting, and analytical characterization of siRNA.&#xa0;</li><li>Troubleshoot synthesis, purification, and analytical challenges to improve yield, purity, and scalability.&#xa0;</li><li>Partner with cross-functional teams, including the siRNA screening team, the antibody conjugation group, and CMC, to support platform and project objectives.&#xa0;</li><li>Ensure rigorous documentation, data integrity, and compliance with internal quality standards.&#xa0;</li><li>Track and evaluate emerging technologies and best practices in&#xa0;oligonucleotide and RNA-based therapeutics.&#xa0;</li><li>Manage and develop a team of 2–3 scientists to support program goals and deliver high-quality siRNA materials on time.</li></ul>",

          "text": "<ul><li>BS, MS, or PhD in chemistry, chemical biology, biochemistry, or a related field,&#xa0;with typically 6+ (PhD), 12+ (MS), or 14+ (BS) years of experience in biotech or pharma.</li><li>Demonstrated expertise&#xa0;in siRNA synthesis, purification, and characterization.</li><li>Strong knowledge of oligonucleotide chemistry, RNA chemistry, conjugation chemistry, and analytical techniques such as HPLC, LC-MS, and UV spectroscopy.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to independently&#xa0;address&#xa0;complex technical problems and drive projects forward.</li><li>Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.</li><li>Strong&#xa0;track record of presenting complex scientific data to internal and external stakeholders.</li><li>Prior people management experience is a plus.</li></ul>",
