    "description": "<h2> </h2>\n<p>Weston & Sampson is seeking a Senior Project Manager or Project Manager with at least 7 years of experience in our Suffern, New York office location. This individual will lead our Municipal Engineering work.</p>\n<h2> </h2>\n<p><strong>What you’ll do on a day-to-day basis</strong><strong>:</strong></p>\n<p>Presently the Suffern office services three Rockland County Villages. Following are customary specific tasks to be performed for the Villages:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Support Mayor and Trustees/ Clerk/Administrator </li>\n <li>General assistance </li>\n <li>Regular Village Hall visits- varies </li>\n <li>Provide expert witness testimony for lawsuits.</li>\n <li>Support Building Department/Planning/Zoning </li>\n <li>Review, assist with zoning, master plan updates. </li>\n <li>Code interpretation</li>\n <li>Floodplain admin/ floodplain interpretation.</li>\n <li>Support DPW</li>\n <li>Capital Improvement Projects:</li>\n <li>Evaluate project, prep concept, develop scope, develop project narrative.</li>\n <li>Solicit quotes from any necessary subcontractors, prepare budget. </li>\n <li>Develop concept plans and assist in obtaining grants.</li>\n <li>Prepare plans, specs, obtain any necessary permits, prepare construction documents, assist in bidding process – start to finish.</li>\n <li>Site Inspections, review C of O requests, payment requests, close out.</li>\n <li>Prepare as built plans.</li>\n <li>Coordinate with Department of Labor and submit periodical updates per project.</li>\n <li>Coordinate with funding agency and attend quarterly status meetings. </li>\n <li>MS-4- All Villages</li>\n <li>Attend monthly Consortium meetings. </li>\n <li>Prepare annual reports and interim updates. Present same at public hearings.</li>\n <li>Prepare updates to SWMP- stormwater management plan – on going task.</li>\n <li>Prepare SWPPP’s for municipal properties. </li>\n <li>Mapping- supervise staff, train staff, train DPW workers. Perform QA/QC.</li>\n <li>Grants- mapping grants need to be obtained. </li>\n <li>Assist to track/identify potential illicit discharge.</li>\n <li>Reviews for Planning Board, and ZBA, attend TAC, draft reports, attend meetings, review SWPP’s, perform site inspections. Some evening meetings are required.</li>\n <li>Attend various village/ fundraise/community/ events. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong><strong>What you’ll do on a long-term basis</strong><strong>:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>In addition to the day-to-day Municipal Engineering Tasks, you will also be expected to assist with the design responsibilities for other clients as needed and as your time permits.</li>\n <li>Supervise and lead project teams in the conduct of engineering reports, field studies, and designs, utilizing recognized industry standards and regulatory-compliant approaches.</li>\n <li>Provide hands-on leadership working side by side with our engineering staff to complete challenging engineering and construction projects.</li>\n <li>The candidate will be expected to be flexible in terms of handling multiple assignments, work directly with clients to understand needs and to advance project planning and design assignments.</li>\n <li>Pursue new work opportunities through established client relationship, market sector awareness, and competitive pursuits, including participation in proposal development and interviews/presentations.</li>\n <li>Assess opportunities and define project scope, schedule, and fee, as well as determine work procedures, staffing, and sub-consultant assignments.</li>\n <li>Participate in company sponsored training programs, seminars, professional organizations and technical committees</li>\n <li>Collaborate and build strong working relationships with internal multi-disciplinary teams</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>What you will bring</strong><strong>:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or similar engineering degree.</li>\n <li>Possess and maintain a New York State Professional Engineering License, in good standing.</li>\n <li>7 to 15 years of relevant experience working with municipal clients in engineering or project management roles.</li>\n <li>Experience in managing multiple projects and clients, along with the associated administrative, budgetary, and financial tracking/profitability aspects of projects.</li>\n <li>Adept at interpersonal relationship building, team leadership, and mentoring.</li>\n <li>Possessing high ethical standards, committed to producing high quality work, with a commitment to teamwork, respect and integrity.</li>\n <li>Exemplary communication skills, including verbal, written, and public presentation.</li>\n <li>Working proficiency in Microsoft 365.</li>\n <li>Experience that includes AutoCAD drafting; civil/site design; infrastructure/utility planning, modeling, and design would be helpful.</li>\n <li>Some travel may be required, must have a valid driver’s license.Salary Range: $125,000.00 - $165,000.00 based on experience</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>#LI-Hybrid </p>\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Weston & Sampson is an 100% employee-owned, full-service environmental and infrastructure consulting firm made up of more than 1,000 professionals, who work together to develop innovative, cost-effective solutions for our clients.
