The Director, Global Executive Talent Acquisition (Exec TA) provides high quality staffing and consulting services in the global talent acquisition area to meet the objectives for staffing executive positions based at Corporate or in the Americas. Specifically, this may include Vice Presidents, General Managers, Hotel Managers and other regional positions at the Yellow and Green Band levels. The Director works with hiring executives, HR Leaders, regional senior leaders and other business clients to understand staffing requirements and create appropriate sourcing/recruiting strategies in response to these needs. The incumbent will provide subject matter expertise to corporate functional or regional business units concerning the development of Yellow – Green band job specifications that will meet the business unit’s needs, as appropriate. A key responsibility will be to develops and maintain effective business partner relationships with assigned corporate functional disciplines or regional business units, as appropriate. In addition, the Director will develop relationships with minority/women organizations or other sources that result in greater access and richer sources of diverse candidate slates. • Collaborates closely with the VP, Global Exec TA to provide thought leadership for executive recruiting philosophies, processes, tools and tactics. • Develops critical relationships and partnerships with corporate, market and regional leadership as well as corporate HR COEs. • Provides consultative leadership to and drives continuous process improvement for the Americas, including CALA and Canada, and across Brands, as needed, in all aspects of executive recruitment. • Assists in the development or enhancement of Executive Talent Acquisition processes, as needed, to drive operational efficiencies and best practices. • Partners with HR leaders and hiring managers across businesses and brands to deliver exceptional recruiting services in support of the overall objective to recruit top talent for executive-level positions at Marriott. • Specific recruiting responsibilities include: • Conducting intake session with hiring manager and consults HR leader, as needed, to ensure all stakeholders are aligned on target profile and recruiting process. • Managing the full lifecycle recruitment process including intake, sourcing, screening, and interviewing applicants. • Developing offer recommendations per the company’s policy regarding pay equity and as needed, partners with Compensation to finalize the recommendation. Reviews recommendation with HR Leader to confirm alignment prior to review with hiring manager. • Extending offer, managing negotiations, finalizing the offer letter for approval by HR Leader. • Initiating pre-hire checks, monitoring successful completion and facilitating the onboarding steps, as appropriate. • Maintains full accountability for timely completion of req audits, offer letter audits and other mechanisms in place to drive compliance, accuracy and optimal team performance. • Actively monitors performance on recruiting metrics against individual goals while maintaining awareness of the company’s goals in diversity hiring. • Consults with VP, Exec TA regarding policies and procedures related to executive recruiting, GM staffing, assessments, etc. • Coordinates with other team members, as needed, on recruiting-related projects and initiatives, e.g., pipeline project, workforce management system • At least 8 years of HR experience. • Minimum 5 years recruiting experience required. Experience recruiting for senior level positions strongly preferred; experience with an external search firm highly advantageous. • Experience in a managerial role as an HR specialist (recruiting, development, organizational effectiveness, etc) advantageous.
