We are committed to solving the world's biggest challenges in the water, energy and urbanization sectors.</span></p><p><span lang=\"EN-CA\">We are currently looking for a Junior Environmental Scientist/Engineer to join our team in our Fredericton or Bedford office.</span></p><p><strong><u>Main responsibilities</u></strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li><strong>Environmental Site Work</strong><ul style=\"list-style-type: circle;\"><li><span lang=\"EN-CA\">Conduct Phase I to Phase III Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs);</span></li><li><span lang=\"EN-CA\">Coordinate and execute field activities including sampling of groundwater, soil, soil vapour, sediment, and surface water;</span></li><li><span lang=\"EN-CA\">Perform oversight of excavation and drilling operations;</span></li><li><span lang=\"EN-CA\">Collect samples and conduct testing in accordance with defined processes to support regulatory compliance;</span></li></ul></li><li><span lang=\"EN-CA\"><strong>Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE)</strong></span><ul style=\"list-style-type: circle;\"><li><span lang=\"EN-CA\">Implement and enforce health and safety plans on project sites;</span></li><li><span lang=\"EN-CA\">Instruct teams in safe working methods and identify risky behaviors, escalating serious issues as needed;</span></li><li><span lang=\"EN-CA\">Follow organizational HSE policies and procedures to mitigate risks to self and others.</span></li></ul></li><li><strong>Project and Client Coordination</strong><ul style=\"list-style-type: circle;\"><li><span lang=\"EN-CA\">Manage project tasks, oversee fieldwork execution, and report progress to the project team;</span></li><li>Support Project Managers on various environmental and industrial initiatives;</li><li><span lang=\"EN-CA\">Help senior colleagues manage client and customer relationships using relevant systems;</span></li><li><span lang=\"EN-CA\">Interact with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.</span></li></ul></li><li><strong>Reporting and Documentation</strong><ul style=\"list-style-type: circle;\"><li><span lang=\"EN-CA\">Assist with report writing and proposal development for submission to provincial and federal regulatory authorities;</span></li><li><span lang=\"EN-CA\">Organize and prepare complex documents using standard office software;</span></li><li><span lang=\"EN-CA\">Gather and summarize data for special reports and bid solicitation documents (RFPs, RFTs).</span></li></ul></li><li><strong>Professional Development and Collaboration</strong><ul style=\"list-style-type: circle;\"><li><span lang=\"EN-CA\">Participate in formal and informal training, coaching, and development planning activities;</span></li><li><span lang=\"EN-CA\">Stay current with relevant technologies, regulations, and industry best practices through ongoing education and media;</span></li><li><span lang=\"EN-CA\">Engage in communities of practice to build expertise in defined areas.</span></li></ul></li><li><strong>Environmental Risk and Data Management</strong><ul style=\"list-style-type: circle;\"><li><span lang=\"EN-CA\">Contribute to environmental risk management processes aligned with regulations and sustainability goals;</span></li><li><span lang=\"EN-CA\">Produce accurate reports by collecting and analyzing data from standard sources.</span></li></ul></li><li><strong>Team Leadership and Supervision</strong><ul style=\"list-style-type: circle;\"><li><span lang=\"EN-CA\">Supervise site personnel and subcontractors to ensure compliance and efficiency;</span></li><li><span lang=\"EN-CA\">Facilitate training and mentoring of junior staff in field techniques and reporting standards.</span></li></ul></li></ul><p><strong><u>Training and skills</u></strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li><span lang=\"EN-CA\">B.Eng. in Civil or Environmental Disciplines, or B.Sc. (preferably in Environmental related field).</span></li><li>2-5 years of relevant experience.</li><li><span lang=\"EN-CA\">A comprehensive understanding and experience working on Provincial properties and/or knowledge of the Atlantic Risk-Based Corrective Action (RBCA) process would be a great asset.</span></li><li><span lang=\"EN-CA\">A comprehensive understanding and experience working on a Federal properties and/or knowledge of the FCSAP process would be a great asset.</span></li><li><span lang=\"EN-CA\">Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed.&nbsp;</span></li><li>Excellent technical writing skills.&nbsp;</li><li><span lang=\"EN-CA\">Bilingual capabilities considered an asset.</span></li><li><span lang=\"EN-CA\">Possession of a valid driver's license and a personal vehicle.</span></li><li><span lang=\"EN-CA\">Autonomous, methodical, responsible, resourceful and punctual person.</span></li><li><span lang=\"EN-CA\">Attention to detail.
