Through personalized supports and inclusive partnerships, we help individuals reach their goals with dignity and respect.</p>\n\n<p><br />\n<strong>Position Summary</strong><br />\nCompletes developmental evaluations, develops individual program plans, and provides sessions and consultations with and for developmentally delayed infants and toddlers, their families, and other disciplines working with them. Reports to the Developmental Supervisor.</p>\n\n<p><br />\n<strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>&nbsp;Participates as a member of the multi-disciplinary team in assessing the development of infants in the areas of Gross Motor, Fine Motor, Communication, Cognitive, Social, and Adaptive for Annual Evaluations and evaluations on the Individual Service Plan (IFSP).</li>\n\t<li>&nbsp;Interprets results of the developmental evaluation and writes an evaluation report identifying the child&rsquo;s strengths and needs including therapeutic concerns and suggestions for treatment. Cooperates with other agencies evaluating the child.</li>\n\t<li>&nbsp;Develops an Individual Family Intervention Plan in family-oriented terms, based on the evaluation report recommendations. Discusses evaluation information with the parents and cooperatively develops goals and objectives. Establishes and maintains a supportive relationship with families.</li>\n\t<li>Maintains accurate records (i.e. data collection, evaluation tool, log sheets, and log notes) of child&#39;s progress and turns in log sheets weekly to the Developmental Supervisor.</li>\n\t<li>Develops and implements treatment plans to address the IFSP goals/outcomes. Provides information to parents regarding child development.</li>\n\t<li>Maintains equipment, toys, and community settings as appropriate and required.</li>\n\t<li>Schedules sessions for delivery of services in community settings as appropriate and required.</li>\n\t<li>Assists with the child&rsquo;s transition from program to preschool or other programs, including completion of documents and attendance at transition meetings.</li>\n\t<li>Refers intense families with intense family issues to service coordination for social work referral.</li>\n\t<li>Establishes and maintains a professional relationship with other disciplines and agencies working with the child and family.</li>\n\t<li>Attends in services, staff meetings, and other training as required.</li>\n\t<li>Demonstrates knowledge regarding other child development programs in Allegheny County.</li>\n\t<li>Assists when necessary in seminars, conferences, and public speaking engagements pertaining to early intervention. Develops and presents presentations to parent and professional groups on early intervention. Submits in-service suggestions.</li>\n\t<li>Chairs staffing and case reviews on children from their caseload when necessary. Chairs IFSP conferences.</li>\n\t<li>Functions as a mentor to interning students from area universities and schools.</li>\n\t<li>May be required to provide a cell phone for availability for work purposes.
