This position focuses on structural reinforcement, minor fabrication, and the restoration of worn or damaged units under supervision. The B Welder must be reliable, safety-conscious, and eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced industrial environment.</p>\n<h2>Essential Job Functions: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform MIG welding, stick welding and torch cutting on steel containers and compactors following basic repair instructions.</li>\n <li>Assist in structural repairs such as lid attachment, bottom plate patching, caster bracket welding, and frame reinforcement.</li>\n <li>Grind and clean welds to ensure proper finish and functionality.</li>\n <li>Operate hand tools and basic fabrication equipment under supervision.</li>\n <li>Support the team in container inspections and identification of weld-related defects.</li>\n <li>Adhere to all company safety policies and welding procedures.</li>\n <li>Maintain a clean and organized work area and assist in equipment maintenance.</li>\n <li>Report any material shortages, damaged equipment, or safety hazards to supervisor promptly.</li>\n <li>Document completed repairs and work performed when required.</li>\n <li>Assist senior welders or fabricators on more complex builds as needed.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Requirements and Qualifications:</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Basic MIG welding, stick welding and torch cutting experience or completion of a welding training program.</li>\n <li>Ability to follow verbal instructions, work orders, or simple repair sketches.</li>\n <li>Understanding of basic hand and power tools used in metal repair.</li>\n <li>Physically capable of lifting heavy parts, standing, bending, and working in indoor and outdoor conditions.</li>\n <li>Strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and ability to work well with others.</li>\n <li>Commitment to safety and quality workmanship at all times.</li>\n <li>Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus but not required.</li>\n <li>Working outdoors and in a shop environment.</li>\n <li>Exposure to welding fumes, sparks, grinding dust, noise, and heavy materials is expected.</li>\n <li>PPE including welding hood, gloves, boots, and eye protection will be provided and required at all times.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Additional Information</h2>\n<p>This job description is intended to be an accurate representation of the general functions of the job, rather than exhaustive list of duties, responsibilities, or experience.
