Position/ Assignment Purpose:
The incumbent will be responsible for driving validation test for software testing/debug following up product development and maintenance as well as provide validation report.
Position/ Assignment Summary:
As a Product Validation Engineer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end validation of automotive connectivity modules(NAD, Wi-Fi, V2X). You will design, execute, and automate test cases to ensure product compliance with automotive standards, RF performance, protocol robustness, and system reliability upon product requiement from early development to production release.
Key Accountabilities/ Statement of Work:
1- Test Planning & Execution
- Product requirement analysis.
- Define and execute validation test plans for NAD (3G/4G/5G), Wi Fi , and V2X modules.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, performance, and stress testing on embedded connectivity stacks.
- Validate over the air (OTA) features, SIM/eSIM profiles, network registration, handover, data throughput, and latency.
- Validate V2X use cases: V2V, V2I, V2N, V2P, message sets (BSM, CAM, DENM, SPAT), and low latency communication.
2- Test Automation & Tooling
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts for efficiency and test capacity.
- Set up and manage test benches including spectrum analyzers, signal generators, network emulators (e.g., Keysight, Rohde & Schwarz, Spirent), V2X simulators, and GNSS simulators.
- Integrate validation test cases into CI/CD / regression automation pipelines.
3- Issue Tracking & Debugging
- Log, track, and manage defects in bug tracking systems (Jira.) including severity and Repeatability.
- Perform root cause analysis in collaboration with software, hardware, systems teams and FAE team.
- Provide detailed test reports with logs, metrics, and conformance evidence.
4- Standards & Compliance
- Ensure validation activities meet automotive standards: ISO 26262 , ASPICE.
5- Continuous Improvement
- Design test cases for field issues reproduction and improvement of test coverage
Support design reviews with DFT (Design for Testability) and DFS (Design for Software Testability) inputs.
- Participate in peer reviews of test specs, procedures, and automation code
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunication, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3–6 years of hands on validation experience in automotive connectivity modules (NAD, Wi Fi, V2X, telematics control units) or in IoT, mobile wireless device product testing experience.
- Proven experience with RF measurement equipment (spectrum analyzer, signal generator, network analyzer) and over the air (OTA) chambers.
- Strong knowledge of wireless technologies:
- Cellular: LTE, 5G NR (FR1/FR2), eCall, GNSS.
- Wi Fi: 2.4/5/6 GHz, station/soft AP/P2P, WPA2/3.
- V2X: C V2X (PC5) or DSRC, message sets, and security (IEEE 1609.2 / ETSI ITS).
- Experience with test automation and communication protocols.
- Familiarity with automotive buses: CAN, CAN FD, Ethernet (100/1000BASE T1)
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret protocol logs (Wireshark, QXDM, V2X analyzer tools).
- Good documentation and cross functional communication
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral in English.
