Project Coordinator - Mechanical About the Role: The Project Coordinator role is based in our GTA office. You are a highly motivated team player who thinks outside of the box. In addition to a fulfilling career, we offer: •    Competitive salary with a raise structure based on performance •    A bonus structure based on performance •    Flexible working hours and short day Fridays all year long •    A hybrid working model (after completion of your probationary period) •    A full health benefit program •    Company sponsored Social Events/ trips within or out of the country •    Company sponsored educational courses hosted by third parties throughout the year •    In-house training with various staff •    Paid mileage for travel to anywhere work related Your Role: •    Work with a team of senior project managers and project managers to successfully deliver on assigned projects. •    Assist in performing reviews of existing installations. •    Assist in managing and reviewing project deliverables. •    Work with project managers to manage project progress, ensuring project completion on schedule and within budget. •    Coordinate with site inspectors to complete site activities. •    Complete assigned construction administration tasks including but not limited to shop drawing reviews, contract document setup etc. •    Assist in ensuring all construction admin tasks are completed accurately, timely and within the assigned budget for projects. •    Assist in responding to client related queries regarding the technical and financial aspects of the project. •    Assist in preparing and continually monitoring project schedules of tasks required to complete the project including hours to perform tasks and critical data required for performance. •    Attend internal and client meetings and develop detailed meeting minutes for all meetings. •    Assist in the preparation of proposal and business development activities based on tasks assigned. •    Complete all other project management, construction admin and general project oversight tasks as required and assigned to successfully complete projects. •    Complete all other tasks as assigned by upper management. What You’ll Bring To TCG: •    Direct industry experience in the field of mechanical building services, especially retrofit experience is preferred. •    Diploma / Degree from a mechanical building services technical program or an engineering program. •    Working towards a P.Eng Designation in Ontario is preferred. •    Eagerness to learn (construction) project management principles with the ability to apply those principles on ongoing projects. •    Working knowledge of HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Protection Systems. •    Knowledge and understanding of the National Building Code of Canada and the Ontario Building Code. •    Working knowledge of ASHRA and CSA/ULC standards. •    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a drive and ability to collaborate and problem solve as part of a team. •    Ability to utilize both verbal and written forms of communication to effectively communicate internally with colleagues as well as externally with clients. •    Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects working in a fast-paced environment to meet project deadlines. •    Must be proficient in MS Office Applications. •    Highly motivated self-starter with an attention to detail is a must. What You Can Expect in our Recruitment Process: A preliminary screen with HR either via email or phone to confirm a few exciting details about the position and your current job search. If we are aligned, we will proceed with the following interviews: A 45-60 minute technical screen (virtually) with one of our Engineering Managers from the respective team you are applying to. This is an opportunity for us to gauge the areas in which you have experience, as well as the areas you hope to gain more exposure to. A 60-minute in-person interview with both our Engineering Manager as well as our President, Sam Soltani. This is a great opportunity for you to hear more about the company, our plans for growth, and how you would fit into the team. Additional team interview, as required by role. HR will connect with you to gather reference and process a background check in tandem with your Offer of Employment.
