Beauty Systems Group, branded as Cosmo Prof or Armstrong McCall stores, along with its direct sales consultants, sell professionally branded products intended for use and resale by salons to retail consumers.</span></p><p>&nbsp;<span lang=\"EN-GB\"><strong>About the role</strong></span></p><p>Responsible for analyzing financial information and preparing financial reports to determine or maintain a record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities within an organization.</p><p><strong><u>Must be knowledgeable of revenue recognition principles ASC 606, and corresponding Journal entries.</u></strong></p><p><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><u>Responsibilities</u></span></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Prepares, examines, and analyzes accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.</li><li>Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice.</li><li>Develops, maintains, and analyzes budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.</li><li>Develops, implements, modifies, and documents recordkeeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology.</li><li>Performs various account reconciliations for cash and inter-company accounts; analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.</li><li>Establish and assigns entries to proper accounts in the General Ledger.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc; padding-left: 36px;\"><li>Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field</li><li>Oracle ERP a plus</li><li>5+ years of accounting or finance experience</li><li>CPA designation preferred</li><li>Previous experience in month-end close processes</li><li>Sarbanes Oxley compliance experience desired</li><li><p>Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word &amp; Excel)</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p></li></ul><p>&nbsp;<strong>Competencies / Attributes:</strong></p><p>Excellent analytical and communication skills</p><p>Ability to prepare and process journal entries</p><p>Nature and Extent of Direct or Indirect Controls Exercised by the Supervisor</p><p>&nbsp;<span lang=\"EN-GB\"><strong>Working conditions &amp; physical requirements</strong></span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: &quot;Segoe UI Variable Display&quot;;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">This will be a hybrid role required to be onsite at the corporate office on specified days.
