Sun River Health is currently seeking a part-time Certified Midwife at our Peekskill site.</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0px\">In consultation with physicians for high- risk patients, the Certified Midwife is responsible for planning, evaluating and delivering the health care of patients on assigned service, emphasizing preventive health measures and education of patient; and other duties as assigned.</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0px\"><i><strong>***Sign On Bonus: $3,500 for Eligible External Applicants – Terms and Conditions Apply</strong></i></p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0px\"><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Takes histories, performs physical examinations, prescribes treatment and medication for conditions falling in the scope of his/her specialty.</li>\n <li>Provides on call and hospital coverage for Health Center patients where contractually obligated to do so.</li>\n <li>Performs deliveries as outlined in midwifery protocols and practice privileges.</li>\n <li>Designs and participates in quality assurance activities, including Medical Record Peer Review, performance and procedure audits, outcome audits and focused reviews.</li>\n <li>Provides supervision for clinical activities of nursing personnel in his/her department, including but not limited to review of protocols, telephone triage and follow-up procedures.</li>\n <li>Coordinates test, referrals and care of patients outside the Health Center.</li>\n <li>Sets standards for preventive care and diagnostic screening within his/her specialty; participates in the development of programs to carry out these standards.</li>\n <li>Follows OSHA standards of infection control under CDC guidelines endorsed by department, organization and overseen by Infection Control Officer.</li>\n <li>Provides accurate and legible documentation of care.</li>\n <li>Meets annual CME requirements.</li>\n <li>Follows established protocols with a willingness to follow evidenced-based research.</li>\n <li>Provides safe and successful performance, including meeting productivity, quality and patient satisfaction standards.</li>\n</ul>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0px\"><strong>Minimum Education Requirement: </strong>Master’s degree with Certification by the American College of Nurse Midwifery to practice in New York State</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0px\"><strong>Minimum Work Related Experience:</strong> 1 year</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0px\"><strong>Hourly Salary</strong>: $77.83 - $82.57 per hour</p>\n<p><strong>About Sun River Health</strong></p>\n<p>Visit our website for more information: <strong>https://www.sunriver.org/</strong></p>\n<p>Sun River Health has a rich history of providing quality, affordable health care to communities in need.
