    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Welding, along with general maintenance and repair on boats and barges at shop facility as required.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Welding for general maintenance.</li>\n <li>Perform general maintenance and repairs.</li>\n <li>Assist in yard facility maintenance.</li>\n <li>Maintain the confidentiality of all sensitive communications.</li>\n <li>Perform related duties as assigned.</li>\n <li>Perform in the company Spill Management team as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Proficient in the use and knowledge of various welding practices</li>\n <li>Proficient in the use of MIG, TIG, Stick and Oxy/Act torch uses</li>\n <li>WABO or ABS certification a definite plus</li>\n <li>Able to read blueprints and to fit up and weld projects with little to no supervision</li>\n <li>Maintain the shop welding area clean and properly stocked with consumables </li>\n <li>Ability to work with others using courtesy, tact, and good judgment.</li>\n <li>Ability to understand and execute complex oral and written instructions.</li>\n <li>Must be physically fit enough to board barges and tugs at sea and in port.</li>\n <li>Must be able to read, speak, write, type, and understand English in person and over the telephone.</li>\n <li>Ability to get along with office staff and vessel crewmembers.</li>\n <li>Valid Washington State drivers' license and the ability to obtain a TWIC card within 30 days of hire.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Job Condition and Environment</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Required to work aboard boats and barges using pike poles, heavy lines, winches, mechanical tools for repairs.</li>\n <li>Capable of making decisions and giving directions to facilitate prompt service delivery.</li>\n <li>Frequently required to board tugs, barges, and ships, at dock or at anchor in all weather conditions and at all hours, and in remote locations.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Expected Hours of Work</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Normal office hours are 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.</li>\n <li>Takes communications 24 hours a day, including weekends, concerning vessel maintenance, repair, and operations.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Company Overview</h2>\n<p>Centerline Logistics is a leading provider of marine transportation services in the United States.
