The Role
You will oversee and coordinate a multidisciplinary team, including Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, and Rehabilitation Assistants, delivering therapy services to children and youth in school and community settings. In addition to leadership responsibilities, the role includes managing a caseload to provide psychosocial support and service navigation for families with complex socio-economic needs. The Supervisor ensures services are high-quality, family-centered, and inclusive, while supporting interdisciplinary collaboration, staff development, and continuous quality improvement to promote children’s participation, learning, and overall well-being.
Key Impact Areas
Provides Supervision support to clinical and non-clinical team.
Provide psychosocial assessments, emotional support, and resource navigation for families facing complex challenges.
Facilitate families’ access to community resources, funding, and specialized services.
Work collaboratively with healthcare, educational, and community partners to coordinate care plans.
Advocate for client and family needs across service systems.
Assists with program planning, evaluation, and improvement to ensure services meet identified community and school district needs.
Coordinates service for children by supporting intake and waitlist management
Monitors service delivery metrics, caseload distribution, and workload balance across disciplines.
Collaborates with community partners, schools, and families to enhance program accessibility and effectiveness.
Participates in policy and procedure development, accreditation activities, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Provides mentorship, performance feedback, and development planning for therapy team members.
What you will bring
Master’s degree in social work (MSW) or a related discipline.
A registered member of the BC college of social workers,
Minimum four (4) years of recent, related clinical experience in pediatric or family-centered practice, including work in school-based or community therapy programs.
Minimum of two (2) years supervisory or leadership experience in an interdisciplinary or unionized environment preferred.
Strong understanding of child development, educational environments, and family systems.
Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and support interdisciplinary teams.
Excellent communication, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills.
Knowledge of roles, scopes of practice, and professional standards of OTs, PTs, and SLPs.
Skilled in collaboration and relationship-building with families, educators, and community partners.
Proficient with electronic health records and data management systems.
Commitment to equity, inclusion, and trauma-informed, strengths-based practice.
Access to a vehicle is required.
