Headquartered in McLean, VA, By Light supports defense, civilian, and commercial IT customers worldwide.</p>\n<h2>Position Overview</h2>\n<p>We are seeking a Senior Information Assurance Specialist to support secure enterprise and mission-critical environments within a high-security government program. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting cybersecurity compliance, vulnerability management, accreditation activities, and security control implementation across complex DoD environments.</p>\n<p>This role requires strong knowledge of Information Assurance (IA), Risk Management Framework (RMF), STIG compliance, and cybersecurity best practices in classified environments.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Support Information Assurance and cybersecurity operations for classified systems and networks</li>\n <li>Maintain compliance with DoD cybersecurity policies, RMF requirements, and security controls</li>\n <li>Assist with Authority to Operate (ATO) packages, system accreditation, and security documentation</li>\n <li>Conduct vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation efforts</li>\n <li>Review and implement Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)</li>\n <li>Monitor systems for security incidents, vulnerabilities, and compliance issues</li>\n <li>Support auditing, logging, incident response, and continuous monitoring activities</li>\n <li>Work closely with system administrators, network engineers, ISSOs, and program teams</li>\n <li>Ensure systems remain compliant with customer and regulatory requirements</li>\n <li>Participate in security assessments, inspections, and cybersecurity reviews</li>\n <li>Maintain documentation including SSPs, POA&Ms, SARs, and related artifacts</li>\n <li>Support patch management and configuration management processes</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Required Experience/Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum10 years experience in network operations and information security.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated experience assessing security controls based on cybersecurity principles and tenets.(e.g., NIST SP 800-53, Cybersecurity Framework, etc.).</li>\n <li>In-depth understanding of relevance of NIST Security Controls and Control Implementation methodologies to the SA&SA process.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated experience with continuous monitoring/ongoing authorization.</li>\n <li>Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Meet DoDM 8140.03 IAT III/IAM II requirements.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Special Requirements/Security Clearance</h2>\n<p>Active DoD Secret Clearance required.</p>",
