    "description": "<h2>Position Summary</h2>\n<p>Provides spiritual and emotional care for patients, their loved ones and team members on assigned unit(s).</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Requires direct access to Protected Health Information (PHI). The PHI accessed is used for patient treatment, and healthcareoperations purposes through direct contact with patients, family members, patients’ medical records/charts, computer applications, and verbal reports from healthcare providers, and interaction with various hospital interdisciplinary team members.</li>\n <li>Documents interventions on the patient chart, including, but not limited to such information as referral source, spiritual assessments, interventions, and follow-up/referral plan.</li>\n <li>Serves as a member of the interdisciplinary clinical team, participating in patient rounds, case reviews, ethics consultations, and advanced directive consults.</li>\n <li>Provides crisis intervention and bereavement support for persons experiencing suffering, tragedy, or loss.</li>\n <li>Performs requested sacramental services, applicable chapel services, and/or arranges for the provision of these services by community clergy.</li>\n <li>Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.</li>\n <li>Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.</li>\n <li>Provides education programs, inspiration and support for patients, their loved ones, team members, and the community to promote the relationship between spirituality and health.</li>\n <li>Per request, provides devotions and/or invocations for Baptist Health and/or Baptist Health sponsored functions.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education/Training</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Master level theological degree is required, with a Master of Divinity being the preferred degree. Master level equivalent theological degrees may be considered.</li>\n <li>Accreditation by the Association of Theological Schools preferred or a listing in The Database of Postsecondary Institutions and Programs (ope.ed.gov/dapip/)</li>\n <li>Four (4) units of Clinical Pastoral Education for full time, two (2) units of Clinical Pastoral Education for part-time, one (1) unit of Clinical Pastoral Education for pool. All units must be recognized by ACPE, APC, NACC, NAJC, CPSP, CPE-I, or ICPT.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Licensure/Certification</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ordination, licensure, or commissioning and endorsement as a chaplain by a religious body listed in the US Defense Department list of Recognized Religions.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Experience</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Active spiritual faith demonstrated.</li>\n</ul>",
