As a member of the team, you will be responsible for assisting in maintaining the proper operation of all broadcast systems and equipment, maintaining broadcast quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in broadcast technology, troubleshooting, and equipment maintenance.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong><u>What You'll Do:</u></strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Assist the Chief Engineer in all aspects of site and transmission operations including broadcast equipment, control rooms, transmitters, and communication systems.</li>\n <li>Assist with the setup, configuration, and calibration of broadcast systems and equipment.</li>\n <li>Monitor broadcast signals to ensure the highest quality of audio. Implement quality control checks to meet broadcast standards.</li>\n <li>Perform regular maintenance on broadcast equipment to prevent downtime. Conduct repairs as necessary and arrange for equipment replacements or upgrades.</li>\n <li>Quickly identify and troubleshoot issues related to equipment and systems to minimize disruptions to our listeners.</li>\n <li>Provide training and support as needed to other team members.</li>\n <li>Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations for broadcast quality, safety, and equipment use.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum 3 years broadcast engineering experience</li>\n <li>Hands-on FM, HD and AM transmitter experience</li>\n <li>AM Directional Antenna experience</li>\n <li>Ability to inspect, repair, and maintain all broadcast radio station equipment, including transmitters, antenna’s, satellite downlinks, automation system, studio equipment, remote equipment, generators, telephone system and related other equipment</li>\n <li>Knowledge of FCC Rules and Regulations</li>\n <li>Strong verbal and writing communications skills</li>\n <li>Strong proven time management skills including ability to multitask.</li>\n <li>Networking knowledge and experience</li>\n <li>Experience with digital audio and audio streaming</li>\n <li>Assist with the maintenance and development of all aspects of technical facilities including studios, transmitters, telephone systems, satellite, STL, computers and data networks.</li>\n <li>A valid driver’s license, satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle record check, and, if the position requires the use of applicant’s own vehicle, proof of insurance, is required</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Preferred:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>SBE Certification is preferred</li>\n <li>Experience with modern digital audio systems including  Wide Orbit, News Boss, Audition and Livewire is highly desirable</li>\n</ul>\n<p>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will frequently be required to stand; walk; sit; use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; and smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
