You will work closely with producers and managers to tell the weather story of the day and track the next weather maker.&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong><u>Some additional responsibilities will include</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Daily weathercast creation focused on the day's weather story and the next weather maker</li>\n <li>Post social weather content in accordance with our digital plan</li>\n <li>Creating daily weather visuals for all platforms</li>\n <li>Cultivating story ideas that fit our bucket structure during reporter days</li>\n <li>Participating in special/extended weather or news coverage</li>\n <li>Communicating weather events and the daily weather story during content meetings</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>What skills do you need to be successful in our role?</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Proven track record of creating compelling and engaging stories across multiple platforms</li>\n <li>Ability to perform well under pressure, experience managing breaking news and meeting strict deadlines</li>\n <li>Ability to identity problems and provide solutions</li>\n <li>A strong commitment to journalistic standards and ethics</li>\n <li>Extraordinary people skills with an emphasis on coaching and motivating</li>\n <li>Strong understanding of compelling digital content</li>\n <li>Minimum of two years as a reporter/weather caster in a television news environment or equivalent</li>\n <li>Strong writing skills and a proven track record for getting results on initiatives</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Sinclair is proud to be an equal opportunity employer and a drug free workplace.
