Nobis Group is looking for an experienced, professional Project Manager with a concentration on commercial, municipal, and transportation related projects to join our Lowell, Massachusetts or Concord, New Hampshire Geotechnical Engineering Team. What You'll Do
Generate and manage proposals, contracts, and subcontracts Communicate with clients, state and local regulators, contractors, and subcontractors Track project schedules, budgets, and prepare monthly invoices Oversee the technical performance of projects to provide high-quality solutions (design plans, specifications, reports, and other design documents) Perform on-the-job training and mentoring of junior staff Coordinate subsurface explorations including testing borings, test pits, cone penetration tests, and geophysical investigations for a variety of geotechnical engineering project types throughout New England Communicate with Nobis' internal Resource Center Manager and Account Managers regularly on the status and performance of projects Identify, prioritize, and build relationships that will support Nobis' long-term strategies for growth What You'll Need
A Bachelor of Science degree in geotechnical engineering or a civil engineering curriculum with a strong concentration in geotechnical engineering from an accredited four-year college or university. It is a plus to have a Master's degree with a concentration of geotechnical engineering A minimum of 8 years experience is required of related experience and/or training. Licensure as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) with specialized experience in geotechnical engineering is required Knowledge of local regulations, building codes, AASHTO LRFD Bridge Manual, and construction practices in target markets Must possess a valid driver's license, have own transportation, and be able to travel for project site visits, meetings, and training. Travel is highly dependent on project work requirements. In addition to the position requirements stated above, preferred skills/experience include:
Willingness to teach and mentor junior staff. Desire to develop relationships with clients based on mutual trust and respect. Why Nobis:
