As an ESOP—a 100% employee-owned company—you’ll be joining a great place to work with an active, supportive culture, steady project loads, and a strong focus on collaboration and embracing positive atmosphere.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>What You'll Do</strong></p><ul><li>Generate and manage proposals, contracts, and subcontracts</li><li>Communicate with clients, state and local regulators, contractors, and subcontractors</li><li>Track project schedules, budgets, and prepare monthly invoices</li><li>Oversee the technical performance of projects to provide high-quality solutions (design plans, specifications, reports, and other design documents)</li><li>Perform on-the-job training and mentoring of junior staff</li><li>Coordinate subsurface explorations including testing borings, test pits, cone penetration tests, and geophysical investigations for a variety of geotechnical engineering project types throughout New England</li><li>Communicate with Nobis' internal Resource Center Manager and Account Managers regularly on the status and performance of projects</li><li>Identify, prioritize, and build relationships that will support Nobis' long-term strategies for growth</li></ul><p><strong>What You'll Need</strong></p><ul><li>A Bachelor of Science degree in geotechnical engineering or a civil engineering curriculum with a strong concentration in geotechnical engineering from an accredited four-year college or university. &nbsp;It is a plus to have a Master's degree with a concentration of geotechnical engineering</li><li>A minimum of 8 years experience is required of related experience and/or training.</li><li>Licensure as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) with specialized experience in geotechnical engineering is required</li><li>Knowledge of local regulations, building codes, AASHTO LRFD Bridge Manual, and construction practices in target markets</li><li>Must possess a valid driver's license, have own transportation, and be able to travel for project site visits, meetings, and training. Travel is highly dependent on project work requirements.</li></ul><p>In addition to the position requirements stated above, preferred skills/experience include:</p><ul><li>Willingness to teach and mentor junior staff.</li><li>Desire to develop relationships with clients based on mutual trust and respect.</li></ul><p><strong>Why Nobis:</strong></p><p>We offer highly competitive salaries, generous paid time off, and a flexible hybrid schedule that allows our employee-owners to maintain a comfortable balance between life and work.
