    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>POSITION DESCRIPTION</strong></p><p style=\"line-height:normal;\"><span>At Nevada Gold Mines, our vision is to be the world’s most valued gold mining business by finding, developing, and operating the best assets with the best people.&nbsp;</span></p><p style=\"line-height:normal;\">As a Buyer, you will work as part of a team to purchase materials, parts, supplies, and equipment for near-mine or in-mine facilities following established purchasing policies and procedures.&nbsp; Performs activities that optimize price, delivery, and terms.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><ul><li>Support the continuous improvement and execution of NGM’s purchasing strategy, policies, and guidelines regarding materials, categories, and contracts; accountable for value-added, cost-savings, and other performance metrics</li><li>Research new suppliers based on changes in business needs including seeking lower cost, higher quality, or more on time vendors</li><li>Support procurement of goods through effective sourcing agreements in terms of costs, quality, quantity, warranty, and availability</li><li>Research and compare pricing, select suppliers, and issue request for quotes</li><li>Process purchase orders for material, equipment, and services</li><li>Ensure timely and professional service to user departments in the execution of purchase orders</li><li>Track orders and expedite as necessary</li><li>Monitor stock and initiate orders within established guidelines</li><li>Work directly with multiple departments to meet procurement and fulfillment needs critical to the operation</li><li>Fill special orders for employees/other departments on as needed basis</li><li>Collaborate with suppliers and provide support for supplier on-boarding process</li><li>Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers</li><li>Ensure the correct method of transportation and delivery for goods&nbsp;</li><li>Maintain and support all purchasing data and utilize reports in ERP.</li><li>Provide suggestions to improve transactional practices for activities related to the materials purchasing process</li><li>Follow the organization's HS&amp;E policies, procedures, and mandatory instructions; to identify and mitigate risks, and to safeguard the environment and the well-being of oneself and others</li><li>Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching</li><li>Develop and maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending training or conferences, and reading specialist media</li><li>Support management of purchase orders from order sourcing to full payment to supplier</li><li>Be available for after hour emergency procurement activities when scheduled rotation for “on call” is in place</li><li>Follow organizations sourcing and procurement standard and utilize operating systems approved for purchase order execution and management</li></ul><p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p><ul><li>High School Diploma or GED (required); Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Accounting, or related field (preferred); or equivalent experience</li><li>Familiarity with fundamental concepts, practices, and processes in Procurement</li><li>Critical thinking and negotiation skills</li><li>Strong communication skills, both written and verbal</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook)&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU</strong></p><ul><li style=\"line-height:normal;tab-stops:list .5in;\"><span>A comprehensive compensation package including a competitive medical, dental, and vision plan with national provider networks, a 401k retirement plan with employer contribution AND employer match, paid time off, company-sponsored medical clinics, company match share purchase program, and much more!</span></li><li style=\"line-height:normal;tab-stops:list .5in;\"><span>Work in a dynamic, collaborative, progressive, and high-performing team.</span></li><li style=\"line-height:normal;tab-stops:list .5in;\"><span>Endless opportunities to grow and learn with industry colleagues.</span></li><li style=\"line-height:normal;tab-stops:list .5in;\"><span>Access to a variety of career opportunities across the organization.</span></li><li style=\"line-height:normal;tab-stops:list .5in;\"><p><span>Nevada Gold Mines is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.</span></p><p style=\"line-height:normal;\"><i><span>Thank you for your application, however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.</span></i></p></li></ul><p>#LI-LS2</p>",
