Join our team to enjoy comprehensive benefits, including travel privileges on the American Airlines global network, so you can explore new destinations and create unforgettable memories with family and friends.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<h1><strong>Position Summary</strong></h1>\n<p>The Maintenance Manager impacts PSA Airlines’ safety of our aircraft being over operation of the assigned maintenance facility. Ensuring that all aircraft has received proper maintenance in accordance with the Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR); to get our customers to their destinations safely and on time.</p>\n<h2><strong>Job Responsibilities </strong></h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Responsible for maintaining aircraft, ground equipment and facilities as needed to meet airworthiness standards, operating schedules, appearance standards and cost objectives. </li>\n <li>Demonstrates a safe and compliant work environment by complying with Safety Policy and Procedures Manual and General Maintenance Manual policies and procedures as well as ensuring compliance of subordinates. </li>\n <li>Submits manual revisions as required for any identified ineffective processes and/or procedures. </li>\n <li>Ensure maintenance programs are followed during inspection and repair of aircraft. </li>\n <li>Maintains local technical manuals and reference material in a current status. </li>\n <li>Manages the maintenance, repair, overhaul and modification of aircraft, components, and related equipment. </li>\n <li>Tracking the time life and scheduled maintenance items on the Company managed aircraft at the assigned location. </li>\n <li>Monitor Cancellation and Delay Reports, Deferred Maintenance Items, and Maintenance Carryovers to ensure expeditious corrective actions. </li>\n <li>Maintain contact with vendors to ensure adequate technical assistance is provided. </li>\n <li>Maintain communication with vendors and manufacturer technical support personnel to minimize reliability delays and cancellations. </li>\n <li>In regard to the performing of maintenance, preventive maintenance, alterations or other functions affecting aircraft airworthiness, the Maintenance Manager or designee will be available for consultation and decision making on matters requiring instruction or decision from higher authority than that of the persons performing the work. </li>\n <li>Ensure that all instructions pertinent to safety are properly observed and that all personnel at the station fully understand and comply with existing safety regulations. </li>\n <li>Maintain maintenance records to FAA regulations on all aircraft at the assigned location. </li>\n <li>Review maintenance performance against established procedures and standards. </li>\n <li>Initiate and develop projects to improve performance of equipment and enable better performance of maintenance. </li>\n <li>Make recommendations covering station personnel staffing level requirements. </li>\n <li>Responsible for employee performance reviews of aircraft maintenance personnel. </li>\n <li>Perform inspections of shops and facility to ensure compliance with company policy. </li>\n <li>Comply with applicable company policies, procedures and FARs. </li>\n <li>Delegates duties as necessary, although this does not relieve the Manager of the responsibility. </li>\n <li>Responsible for the Company's Security and Safety Management System (SMS) and associated Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance output.</li>\n <li>Performs other duties as assigned. </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Position Specifics</h2>\n<h1><strong>Qualifications</strong></h1>\n<p>Required</p>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or equivalent. </li>\n <li>Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification. </li>\n <li>Working knowledge of the Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR). </li>\n <li>Experience with management and administration of service contracts and agreements. </li>\n <li>Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, M&E. </li>\n <li>Ability to speak/read/write in English.   </li>\n <li>If hired, must be able to demonstrate that you are authorized to work in the U.S.   </li>\n</ul>\n<p>Preferred </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Advanced technical degree in Engineering, Aviation, Business Administration, or related field. </li>\n <li>At least five years of experience in the maintenance of large aircraft with at least two of those years in a supervisory position. </li>\n <li>Experience with program management. </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Additional Information</h2>\n<p><strong>Delegation:</strong> In absence, responsibilities delegated to Managing Director of Maintenance. </p>\n<p><strong>Authorities: </strong>None </p>\n<p><strong>Supervisory Responsibility:</strong>  This is a supervisory position. </p>\n<p><strong>Work Environment:</strong> This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, photocopiers, facsimile machines and filing cabinets.<strong>Physical Demands:</strong> The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
