Thanks for your interest in joining our team! </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Key statistics:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>950+ Consultants</li>\n <li>640+ Ph.D.s</li>\n <li>90+ Disciplines</li>\n <li>30+ Offices globally</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Our Opportunity</h2>\n<p>We are currently seeking an <strong>Environmental Scientist/Engineer</strong> for a Manager-level role in our <strong>Environmental and Earth Sciences</strong> Practice in <strong>Burlington, MA</strong>. In this role, you will work as part of a team to provide technical analysis on existing projects and business development efforts. </p>\n<h2>You will be responsible for</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Reconstructing of historical industrial operations/waste management and evaluation of subsurface (e.g., soil, groundwater, sediment) environmental conditions and data to identify contaminant sources, causation, timing, fate, and transport </li>\n <li>Synthesizing historical operational, technical, and environmental regulatory information, as well as applying critical thinking to prepare and review reports and technical analyses/presentations </li>\n <li>Analyzing and developing conceptual remedial designs and cost estimates </li>\n <li>Working cooperatively on multidisciplinary projects with other members of the Environmental and Earth Sciences Practice and interdisciplinary groups from other Exponent practices as appropriate </li>\n <li>Investing in your professional development\n  <ul>\n   <li>Attending conference presentations and participating in journal publications </li>\n   <li>Expanding your professional visibility </li>\n   <li>Developing client relationships and building business in the Environmental and Earth Sciences Practice </li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>You will have the following skills and qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>M.Sc., M.Eng., or Ph.D. in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Environmental Chemistry, or a related field </li>\n <li>3+ years of non-academic experience in the field of environmental sciences or environmental engineering at a consulting company in the United States is required</li>\n <li>Familiarity with the preparation and interpretation of field environmental logs </li>\n <li>Familiarity with environmental chemistry and contaminant fate and transport </li>\n <li>Environmental litigation, field investigation/remediation, and cost allocation experience are a plus </li>\n <li>Strong interest in career and professional development within a dynamic consulting environment </li>\n <li>Excellent communication, organization, and writing skills </li>\n <li>Detail-oriented, able to work independently, and manage time effectively </li>\n <li>Strong ability to prioritize multiple projects with competing deadlines </li>\n <li>Presently legally authorized to work in the United States. Exponent's total compensation plan is consistent with its expectations of the quality and quantity of work performed and with the professional standards set by Exponent.
