    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><span><strong>Summary Position:</strong>&nbsp; Bank Street Education Center (the Ed Center), a division within Bank Street College of Education (the College) created to support the College’s work with school districts, is currently seeking a Math Coach &amp; Facilitator to support coaching and facilitation in K-12 math, with a focus on middle and high school grades.</span></p><p><span><strong>Key relationships:</strong> The Math Coach &amp; Facilitator will report directly to a Project Director, work closely with the Executive Director of Math, and members of the Math portfolio, and collaborate with portfolio teams across the Education Center.</span></p><p><span><strong><u>Responsibilities:</u>&nbsp;</strong>In collaboration with their supervisor and with support from the math portfolio team, the Math Coach &amp; Facilitator will:</span></p><p><span>Coaching and Facilitation</span></p><ul><li><span>Provide direct coaching (virtual and/or in-person) to individual teachers and school teams, with foundations in equity, child development, and adult learning;</span></li><li><span>Maintain clear and consistent communication with teachers, principals, Ed Center staff, and district partners to ensure timely delivery and expectations of coaching;</span></li><li><span>Facilitate teacher teams reflecting on practice, analyzing data that leads to deep analysis and identification of inequitable practices in schools, and examining student work to improve pedagogical practices.</span></li><li><span>Create and implement coaching resources, tools, and materials&nbsp; aligned with the Bank Street and Ed Center approach and coaching model;&nbsp;</span></li><li><span>Reflect on coaching experiences with Ed Center staff members in order to support the continued strengthening of the Ed Center coaching model;&nbsp;</span></li><li><span>Develop and facilitate professional learning aligned to district and partnership goals;</span></li></ul><p><span>Project Implementation and Team Collaboration</span></p><ul><li><span>Work with the project analyst to identify coaching goals, logs, and tools in order to measure the impact of coaching work across the lifespan of the project;</span></li><li><span>Completing coaching logs following school visits and providing coaching updates to the team in weekly meetings/check-in structures;</span></li><li><span>Work with the project analyst to identify coaching goals, logs, and data collection tools in order to measure the impact of coaching work across the lifespan of the project;</span></li><li><span>Complete coaching logs following school visits and providing coaching updates to the team in weekly meetings/check-in structures;</span></li><li><span>Participate in and support professional learning sessions aligned to the learning agenda of&nbsp; the Ed Center and math portfolio</span></li><li><span>Partner with project leads and project managers to monitor the progress of coaching and facilitation; and</span></li><li><span>Partner&nbsp; with the math project teams to ensure the successful implementation of all aspects of the project;&nbsp;</span></li><li><span>Perform related duties as assigned.</span></li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><span><strong><u>Qualifications:</u></strong></span></p><p><span><u>Skills &amp; Knowledge:&nbsp;</u></span></p><ul><li><span>Background in curriculum, instruction, professional development, and/or assessment in mathematics</span></li><li><span>Knowledge of or familiarity with high-quality math instructional materials (ex: Illustrative Math), particularly in the NYC Public Schools education landscape</span></li><li><span>Expertise in constructivist math approaches</span></li><li><span>Experience in continuous improvement methodologies</span></li><li><span>Strong communication skills (email, writing, in-person)</span></li><li><span>Comfort in Google Suite (e.g., Docs, Sheets, Slides, forms); Qualtrics or other data-capturing tool</span></li><li><span>Flexibility in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment of quickly changing priorities and tight deadlines</span></li><li><span>Ability to work occasional weekends, as some program sessions are held on Saturdays</span></li></ul><p><span><u>Experiences:</u></span></p><ul><li><span>Demonstrated learning stance</span></li><li><span>Minimum of 3-5 years of coaching and/or school leadership and/or district leadership experience</span></li><li><span>Demonstrated ability to coach and develop teachers/teacher teams</span></li><li><span>Experience designing and facilitating professional learning sessions</span></li><li><span>Experience working with diverse&nbsp;&nbsp;and historically marginalized students</span></li><li><span>Master’s degree in education, school leadership, or related field</span></li></ul><p><span><u>Mindsets:</u></span></p><ul><li><span>An intersectional, anti-racist lens and strengths-based approach to racial equity and identity work and team collaboration</span></li><li><span>A culturally responsive perspective to child and adult development and Learning</span></li><li><span>A reflective learner’s stance&nbsp;</span></li></ul><p><span><strong><u>Salary Range:</u></strong>&nbsp;
