Description
Overview
The Real Estate Loan Officer is responsible for delivering consistently excellent member service throughout the residential mortgage loan process. The Real Estate Loan Officer originates residential mortgage loans through self-generated referral relationships and leverages marketing strategies. This is a sales-oriented and results-driven position responsible for driving profitable residential mortgage loan growth that aligns with the Credit Union's strategy.
Responsibilities
Originate and close residential mortgage loans that meet organizational goals and maximize profitability
Meet and exceed performance goals, ensuring compliance with lending regulations and maintaining loan quality
Ensure a high level of member satisfaction through the delivery of excellent service and execution of the daily operations of the Credit Union's Member Experience protocols according to established standards
Develop and maintain self-generated referral relationships with real estate professionals and other key partners through branded marketing, events, and educational outreach
Guide members through the loan application process with integrity and a sense of urgency
Maintain knowledge of loan products and underwriting guidelines
Provide consultative service to members, analyzing financial information and identifying appropriate loan solutions
Partner with Logix Retail Banking team to deepen member relationships
Work collaboratively with processing and underwriting teams to deliver on-time closings and member delight
Leverage Logix business partners to identify sales opportunities and drive member engagement
Actively leverage marketing strategies and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools to build a sustainable pipeline and deliver best-in-class member experience
Develop and execute personalized marketing campaigns using CRM tools and automated workflows
Collaborate with Marketing to deploy email campaigns, social media, and branded content
Use digital platforms to grow presence in Logix market area
Qualifications
Education
Preferred
4 Year / Bachelors Degree
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university with a degree in finance or real estate preferred.
Experience
Minimum of 3 years of real estate lending experience in a similar capacity
Knowledge, Skills & Ability
Excellent communication, sales, and relationship-building skills
Must be an actively registered Mortgage Loan Originator with the NMLS
Familiarity with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac lending guidelines and knowledge of the laws, regulations, and fundamentals of residential real estate lending
Strong knowledge of mortgage products, including conventional, FHA, VA, jumbo, and HELOC/HELOAN
Familiarity with CRM systems, lead management, and pipeline tracking
Experience creating and executing marketing campaigns (email, digital, events)
Working knowledge of Encompass and Mortgage Coach, preferred
Working knowledge of the Microsoft suite of office products
