As MOVE Texas grows its chapter network, more people are stepping up to organize the youth movement both in their communities and on campuses across Texas. MOVE started as a student-led chapter on a single college campus, built on a simple idea: that if young people organize each other, we can change the future of Texas. That belief still guides us today. </span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(97, 205, 216); font-size: 18pt; font-weight: bold\">Position Description</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(17, 17, 17); font-size: 14pt\">MOVE Texas is looking for fifteen (15) Campus Organizers to join our team to help build a MOVE Texas chapter on your campus. Campus Organizers are student leaders who are ready to bring people together, organize their peers to build and leverage collective power, and help shape the kind of future young Texans deserve in our communities and across our state. As a Campus Organizer, you’ll help strengthen your campus chapter while connecting to a statewide network of young people who are working together to shape the future of our state. Additional regional or statewide training, convenings, and organizing opportunities may be available throughout the year on a voluntary basis.  Any required out of region travel is minimal and expenses will be covered by MOVE Texas.</span><br></span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(53, 152, 219); font-size: 18pt\"><br></span><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(97, 205, 216); font-size: 18pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:</span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"> </span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(17, 17, 17); font-size: 14pt\">Lead organizing efforts for a MOVE Texas chapter on your campus by recruiting members, building relationships with students, and developing new leaders.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(17, 17, 17); font-size: 14pt\">Maintain a consistent rhythm of organizing, including hosting weekly tablings or outreach efforts, facilitating monthly chapter meetings, and organizing events, actions, or campaign activities throughout the semester.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(17, 17, 17); font-size: 14pt\">Implement MOVE Texas statewide campaigns on your campus, translating statewide priorities, such as civic education campaigns, electoral campaigns (voter registration and get out the vote (GOTV)), and issue advocacy campaigns, into organizing that connects with students locally.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(17, 17, 17); font-size: 14pt\">Serve as a connector between MOVE Texas and your campus chapter, helping ensure members have access to training, resources, and opportunities while sharing ideas, feedback, and leadership from your chapter with MOVE Texas staff.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(17, 17, 17); font-size: 14pt\">Participate in regular check-ins, trainings, and strategy meetings with MOVE Texas staff and other campus organizers across the state.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(17, 17, 17); font-size: 14pt\">Help cultivate a welcoming and inclusive chapter community, supporting members in developing their own leadership and organizing skills. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(17, 17, 17); font-size: 14pt\">Represent MOVE Texas on campus by building relationships with student organizations, the chapter advisor, campus partners, and community groups that align with the chapter’s organizing efforts.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(97, 205, 216); font-size: 18pt; font-weight: bold\">Qualifications</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(67, 67, 67); font-size: 14pt\">Must be at least 18 years, a Texas resident, and a U.S. citizen. These are shared requirements with Volunteer Deputy Registrar (VDR) certification (people who can help others complete a voter registration form).
