Today, Aircond delivers a full spectrum of facility services to single and multi-site clients, from HVAC service to complete operations and maintenance solutions</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Data Center Floater Technician (Munters Specialist), Class IV</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Location: This role is on-site with a client in Richmond, VA and will require travel between Data Center locations that are located within the same compound. </strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Technician is a highly skilled professional responsible for advanced maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of complex HVAC systems specifically within data centers, requiring a deep understanding of critical cooling requirements, intricate control systems, and often including specialized knowledge of Munters manufactured HVAC equipment within data center infrastructure and safety protocols; essentially, they are the top-level experts in data center HVAC maintenance, capable of handling the most intricate issues and system upgrades with minimal supervision. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilites May Include: </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Advanced troubleshooting and repair:</strong></p>\n<p>Diagnosing complex (Munters) HVAC system malfunctions, identifying root causes, and implementing repairs on critical cooling equipment not limited to chillers, cooling towers, air handling units, and precision cooling systems within data centers. </p>\n<p><strong>Preventative maintenance:</strong></p>\n<p>Performing comprehensive scheduled maintenance tasks to ensure optimal system performance, including cleaning, inspecting, calibrating, and replacing components as needed, while adhering to strict data center maintenance protocols. </p>\n<p><strong>System optimization:</strong></p>\n<p>Analyzing data center cooling loads, identifying efficiency improvements, and implementing changes to optimize system performance, potentially including adjustments to control systems or equipment upgrades. </p>\n<p><strong>Control system expertise:</strong></p>\n<p>Configuring, programming, and troubleshooting complex building automation systems (BAS) that manage data center HVAC systems, including monitoring parameters and adjusting settings as needed. </p>\n<p><strong>Technical leadership:</strong></p>\n<p>Acting as a subject matter expert for Munters HVAC systems within the data center, providing guidance and training to other technicians on complex issues. </p>\n<p><strong>Documentation and reporting:</strong></p>\n<p>Maintaining detailed records of maintenance activities, system performance data, and any issues encountered, including creating reports for management. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Required skills and qualifications:</p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>EPA (universal) refrigerant certification.</strong></li>\n <li><strong>Extensive HVAC knowledge:</strong>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Minimum of 4-6 years of experience as an HVAC technician.</li>\n   <li>1-2 years of experience performing service to Munters data center HVAC equipment.</li>\n   <li>Deep understanding of Munters HVAC principles, including refrigeration cycles, air flow dynamics, and control systems. </li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li><strong>Data center specific expertise:</strong>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Thorough knowledge of data center cooling requirements, critical infrastructure, and potential environmental hazards. </li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li><strong>Advanced troubleshooting skills:</strong>\n  <ul>\n   <li>The ability to diagnose complex system malfunctions and identify root causes with minimal downtime. </li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li><strong>Strong mechanical aptitude:</strong>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Capability to perform hands-on maintenance and repairs on a wide range of HVAC equipment. </li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li><strong>Safety awareness:</strong>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Commitment to following strict safety protocols within a data center environment. </li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>What you can expect from EMCOR Services Aircond:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Health Insurance: 4 plans available to choose from with Rx coverage</li>\n <li>Heath Saving Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) options available</li>\n <li>Dental insurance: 2 plans available to choose from</li>\n <li>Vision insurance</li>\n <li>401(k) with Employer Match</li>\n <li>Employee referral incentives</li>\n <li>Employee Assistance Program (EAP)</li>\n <li>Competitive PTO, 8 paid holidays, 1 paid floating holiday</li>\n <li>Weekly Pay</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>WORK ENVIRONMENT</strong></p>\n<p><strong>The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
