We supply advanced materials, ferrites and magnetic materials, dielectrics, ceramic bandpass filters, coaxial resonators, and coaxial inductors.</p><p><strong><u>Technical Operator (Machine Operator)</u></strong></p><p>Work Schedule: &nbsp;Three shifts available: &nbsp;<strong>1st shift</strong> 6:00 am &ndash; 2:30 pm Monday-Friday; <strong>2nd shift</strong> 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm M-F; <strong>3rd shift</strong> 10:00 pm - 6:30 am Sun-Th. &nbsp;2nd shift may train on 1st shift for 1-2 months. &nbsp;3rd shift will train on 1st shift for 3+ months.</p><p>PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY: Sets up and operates a variety of automatic or semi-automatic machines used in the production of the company&#39;s product. Works from process sheets or written/verbal instructions given by supervisor to perform production tasks. Checks and inspects operation against predetermined tolerances.</p><p>An Ingot Operator&rsquo;s primary duties are to produce custom ceramic ingots through a variety of processing tasks that increase in complexity as experience and process knowledge is gained through mentorship and on the job training. &nbsp;The operator will interact with supervisory personnel and engineers to ensure that processes are performed in accordance with written and verbal instructions. &nbsp;Communication of processing parameters, non-standard observations and measurement results are essential for the success of the Ingot Operator and the operation. &nbsp;The basic processing operations are listed below, with the Ingot Operator performing one or more of the following:</p><ul><li>Ingot Forming</li><li>Ingot Firing</li><li>Ingot Diameter Lathing</li><li>Ingot Length Lathing</li><li>Ingot Inspection</li><li>Ingot Packaging&nbsp;</li></ul><p>&nbsp;The Ingot Operator will maintain a clean, organized work area to minimize contamination potential. &nbsp;The operator will clean all equipment and the entire area prior to the end of each shift. &nbsp;Equipment used includes isostatic presses, periodic kilns, lathes, and various measurement devices. &nbsp;The operator must report any equipment malfunctions or repair needs to their supervisor or engineer.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp; Requirements:</p><ul><li>High School diploma or equivalent</li><li>Ability to regularly lift 10 lbs. and occasionally 55-60 lbs.</li><li>Ability to work in dusty environments&nbsp;</li><li>Standing 8 hours</li><li>Ability to multi-task</li><li>Must demonstrate safe work habits</li><li>Operate under ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 requirements</li><li>Work with attention to detail</li><li>Maintain accurate electronic and written records</li><li>Exposure to non-hazardous ceramic powders and liquids</li><li>Work in a fast paced, high- volume environment</li><li>Ability to work on self-directed teams</li></ul><p>&nbsp;Preferred competencies:</p><ul><li>Strong Computer literacy and skills</li><li>Mechanical understanding to operate assigned tools and equipment</li><li>Interpretation of process instructions</li><li>Excellent manual dexterity</li></ul><p>&nbsp;Benefits include:</p><ul><li>Medical, Dental, and Vision</li><li>Option to participate in 401(k) plan with safe harbor match</li><li>Company-paid Life Insurance</li><li>Vacation and sick leave</li><li>Paid holidays</li></ul><p>Trans-Tech is an equal opportunity employer.
