Reporting to the Manager, Legal - Commercial Operations, the Legal Counsel’s primary role will be to provide prompt and effective legal support to internal business and service teams. The Legal Counsel will utilize strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills and the ability to work independently in an ever changing, team environment. The successful candidate will possess the ability to meet deadlines without sacrificing quality of service and demonstrate a strong work ethic.</p>\n<ul>\n <li><b>Job location:&nbsp;</b>Calgary, Alberta</li>\n <li><b>Shift schedule:</b> 5 x 2, 8-hour shifts</li>\n <li><b>Safety sensitive position:</b> No</li>\n <li><b>Application deadline</b>: July 19, 2026&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>\n</ul>\n<p><b>Key Accountabilities:&nbsp;</b></p>\n<p>Providing commercial and legal support to the following business units:</p>\n<p><u>1. Supply Management and Commercial Contracts:</u></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide legal advice over the full contract cycle including on the RFP/RFQ process and a range of legal issues arising during contract performance</li>\n <li>Identify risk and liability issues related to various commercial and construction matters and provide advice on risk mitigation strategies</li>\n <li>Provide legal advice and support for the resolution of commercial disputes</li>\n <li>Liaise with internal business units for delivery of commercially relevant legal advice</li>\n <li>Develop and implement business-oriented legal strategies to deal with client concerns</li>\n <li>Assist in drafting and revising contract templates, policies and procedures</li>\n</ul>\n<p><u>2. Marketing:</u></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide legal support to the Canadian Natural’s marketing business unit and assist in negotiating a range of specialized and non-specialized legal agreements</li>\n <li>Provide legal advice and support for commercial and regulatory matters</li>\n</ul>\n<p><u>3.
