This commitment is embodied in Company policy and the ways in which we do business at Hometown America, and it is an important principle of sound business management.<br><br>Hometown America has a unique opportunity available for a Maintenance Technician at Colonial Estates located in Sacramento, CA.&nbsp;<br><br><p>In this role, you will accomplish a variety of routine, emergency and preventative maintenance &nbsp;responsibilities for the community&rsquo;s common buildings, common areas and leased homes to ensure long-term viability of the community.</p><p>As the Maintenance Technician you will:</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Ensure the community is presentable, inviting, and adheres to our curb appeal standards.</li><li>Perform grounds work and seasonal maintenance in community common areas: power wash, pest control, sweep curb &amp; dumpster areas, maintain landscaping and other areas.</li><li>Communicate daily to supervisor and collaborate as a team player in order to achieve customer expectations and ensure ongoing operations.</li><li>Follow safety procedures at all times, including safely operating equipment and vehicles when moving from site to site and picking up supplies.</li><li>Maintain a professional, courteous rapport with all residents, vendors, contractors, and colleagues.</li></ul><p>To be successful in this role, Hometown America looks for the following attributes and/or transferable experience and skills acquired in a different industry or in a different context:</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Previous experience and general knowledge of landscaping, basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and hand tools preferred;</li><li>Ability to work in a variety of seasonal temperatures as the role requires outdoor work;</li><li>Take initiative and have the flexibility to work well independently as well as in a team environment where you see assignments and projects through to completion;</li><li>Ability to work flexible hours, including Saturdays or other times outside of normal business hours for emergency situations;</li><li>Our hiring process includes criminal background and driving record checks.</li><li>A current, valid driver&#39;s license from the state where the community is located is required before driving a company-owned vehicle or before driving a personal vehicle on company business;</li><li>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</li></ul><p id=\"isPasted\">We offer:</p><ul><li>Competitive wages</li><li>Benefits package, complete with comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage</li><li>Health and dependent care flexible spending accounts</li><li>401(k) with 20% company match</li><li>Life and disability insurance</li><li>Paid time off (2 weeks of vacation in your first year, plus personal days, sick pay and 9 company-paid holidays)</li></ul><p><strong>Why Work at this company?</strong></p><p>The culture at Hometown America is one of shared values and vision.
