Your role blends office‑based technical work with regular site visits, working closely with Architects, Engineers, Clients, and Contractors.</p><p style=\"line-height:15.0pt;\">As a senior team member, you’ll provide technical leadership, mentorship to junior staff, and contribute to project delivery and client relationships in a fast‑paced, professional, employee‑owned environment.</p><p style=\"line-height:15.0pt;\"><br>&nbsp;<br><strong>What a day at EXP has in store for you</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type:disc;\"><li style=\"line-height:normal;tab-stops:list .5in;\">Building envelope design review of the architectural drawings and specifications</li><li style=\"line-height:normal;tab-stops:list .5in;\">Review of submittals, shop drawings, substitution requests and, request for information &nbsp;</li><li style=\"line-height:normal;tab-stops:list .5in;\">Mock-up review, plant visits and witness testing</li><li style=\"line-height:normal;tab-stops:list .5in;\">Attendance of meetings with the Architects, Clients, Contractors, and Trades</li><li style=\"line-height:normal;tab-stops:list .5in;\">Assessment of building envelope assemblies in existing buildings</li><li style=\"line-height:normal;tab-stops:list .5in;\">Report writing and review of reports from junior staff members</li><li style=\"line-height:normal;tab-stops:list .5in;\">Providing technical guidance to junior staff and clients</li><li style=\"line-height:normal;tab-stops:list .5in;\">Design and preparation of construction documents of building envelope assemblies in restoration&nbsp;<br>Preparing proposals</li><li style=\"line-height:normal;tab-stops:list .5in;\">Preparing specifications and drawings for rehabilitation and design projects</li><li style=\"line-height:normal;tab-stops:list .5in;\">Conducting construction contract administration and construction review services</li><li style=\"line-height:normal;tab-stops:list .5in;\">Performing building condition assessments, performance audit, asset and property</li><li style=\"line-height:normal;tab-stops:list .5in;\">Review/assessment, reserve fund studies, design, and coordinating various building repair(s)</li><li style=\"line-height:normal;tab-stops:list .5in;\">Liaising with clients, building strong client relationships, and generating new business</li><li style=\"line-height:normal;tab-stops:list .5in;\">Mentoring junior staff</li></ul><p style=\"line-height:normal;\">&nbsp;</p><p style=\"line-height:normal;\"><br><strong>What your experience looks like</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type:disc;\"><li style=\"line-height:normal;tab-stops:list .5in;\">7+ years of technical experience in building science with proven ability to manage projects and help facilitate business development</li><li style=\"line-height:normal;tab-stops:list .5in;\">College degree or diploma in a related field of study such as Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Building Science</li><li style=\"line-height:normal;tab-stops:list .5in;\">In depth knowledge of various building envelope systems and assemblies is required</li><li style=\"line-height:normal;tab-stops:list .5in;\">In-depth knowledge of standards and guidelines related to building envelope systems and assemblies is an asset</li><li style=\"line-height:normal;tab-stops:list .5in;\">Knowledge of the Building Code and energy standards is an asset</li><li style=\"line-height:normal;tab-stops:list .5in;\">Experience in new construction projects is required</li><li style=\"line-height:normal;tab-stops:list .5in;\">Experience in building condition assessment, building envelope condition assessments and restoration is an asset</li><li style=\"line-height:normal;tab-stops:list .5in;\">Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle is required for site visits</li><li style=\"line-height:normal;tab-stops:list .5in;\">Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with clients and co-workers</li><li style=\"line-height:normal;tab-stops:list .5in;\">Ability to work effectively in a high demand and fast-paced environment<br><span style=\"font-family:&quot;Open Sans&quot;,sans-serif;\">&nbsp;</span></li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><div><br>&nbsp;</div><div><div><p><span class=\"x2kd x1a\"><strong>EXP subscribes to the Workplace Equity Program.
