Responsibilities & Qualifications The Novelis Guthrie, KY team is seeking a Financial Analyst for our plant in Guthrie, KY. The primary function of the Financial Analyst is to support manufacturing operations and finance by preparing and analyzing financial reports on a monthly and annual basis. These reports are used to help make sound business decisions that support the plant’s objectives and create shareholder value. Responsibilities: Provide training, help to resolve issues, answer questions, and perform analysis that will support operations in their assigned manufacturing unit. Perform month-end activities such as completing & uploading journal entries and forecasts in SAP, exporting data from multiple sources to review & analyze actual results against plan and forecast, perform close process in SAP, and account reconciliations through OneStream. Build analytical models utilizing both financial and non-financial data to forecast and analyze operating results. Be able to clearly articulate results back to management in order to drive better business decisions. Facilitate manufacturing unit management in annual planning and quarterly forecasting cycles. Support World Class Manufacturing and continuous improvement activities by participating in cross-functional business projects and gain a comprehensive knowledge of the operational cost drivers to better support project initiatives. Provide points of view to leadership on the impact of operating decisions to profitability. Lead and facilitate the development and implementation of certain operational improvements. Adhere to and support company quality, environmental, health & safety, and certification standards, including ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, IATF 16949:2016, and ASI Certifications, where applicable. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. 2-5 years of experience in financial planning, forecasting, and analysis. Advanced proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Excel Excellent organizational and project management skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Strong analytical skills in business performance metrics and extensive financial modeling experience. Ability to think independently, synthesize data, and make proactive, concise recommendations based on findings. Thrives on the ability to work autonomously. Creative and innovative team player with a positive approach and a focus on business issues. Demonstrated ability to build successful relationships with plant leadership and regional office personnel. Willingness to take on additional projects and multitask with changing priorities, as necessary. Demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines with emphasis on sustained accuracy and attention to detail. In addition to hunting fishing and hiking residents enjoy the Guthrie Transportation Museum which is the hub of the city’s renewal efforts. The Guthrie team enjoys partnerships with Hopkinsville Community College Todd County High School Guthrie Fire Department and several local Rotary Clubs.
