Required</li>\n <li>Bachelor's Degree in Vocational Education, Engineering Technology, or related discipline. Preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification in an area to be taught. Preferred</li>\n <li>Valid and in State Valid Driver's License. Required</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>EXPERIENCE</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Three (3) years of relevant trade experience. Required</li>\n <li>Teaching experience at the secondary or postsecondary school level. Preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>ABILITIES AND SKILLS</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively and courteously with students, staff, faculty, and the public. Required</li>\n <li>Sensitivity to expectations of students, faculty, and staff. Required</li>\n <li>Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form. Required</li>\n <li>Developed organizational skills. Required</li>\n <li>Demonstrated sensitivity to diversity and multicultural issues. Required</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<li>Instruct and evaluate students in Live Work area who are performing general maintenance and repairs on automobiles in the collision department.</li>\n<li>Provide instruction in shop safety and other assigned areas which may include refinishing, body straightening, auto graphics, mechanical repairs, and computer estimating.</li>\n<li>Maintain accurate written records of student performance.</li>\n<li>Assume responsibility for development, coordination, and maintenance of the collision repair Laboratory.</li>\n<li>Complete official student rosters and return to School office as required.</li>\n<li>Attend Department meetings as requested.</li>\n<h2>Physical Standards and Special Job Features</h2>None\n<h2>Pay Transparency</h2>The part-time rate for 2025/26 will be the greater of $1160 per credit or $773 per contact hour, prorated for student enrollment under seven. The approved substitute pay rate is $48.31 per hour during the first week of substituting and the prorated part-time teacher rate for consecutive substitute assignments that exceed one week.\n<h2>College Statement</h2>\n<p>This is not a complete itemization of all facets of this position.
