This is an ideal opportunity for someone who wants hands-on offshore experience, exposure to advanced oceanographic technology, and the chance to develop within a specialist industry leader.<br> <br>As part of the Venterra Group, you’ll join a wider network of experts helping deliver the future of offshore renewable energy worldwide.<br>  <br><strong>The Role:</strong><br><strong> </strong><br>As a Metocean Engineer, you’ll play a key role in the successful delivery of our metocean campaigns - from planning and mobilisation through to deployment, servicing and reporting.<br></span><span style=\"color:rgb(255,255,255);\">  <br>Your responsibilities will include:</span><ul><li style=\"color:rgb(255,255,255);\">Preparing and testing oceanographic and metocean equipment.</li><li style=\"color:rgb(255,255,255);\">Supporting offshore mobilisation and vessel operations.</li><li style=\"color:rgb(255,255,255);\">Deploying and servicing equipment such as wave buoys, floating LiDAR systems, Seabed instrumentation, tide gauges, wave radar systems.</li><li style=\"color:rgb(255,255,255);\">Assisting with mooring assembly and maintenance.</li><li style=\"color:rgb(255,255,255);\">Working in line with ISO‑accredited management systems and QHSE procedures.</li><li style=\"color:rgb(255,255,255);\">Working with telemetry, environmental sensors and real-time monitoring systems.</li><li style=\"color:rgb(255,255,255);\">Processing and reviewing environmental and survey data.</li><li style=\"color:rgb(255,255,255);\">Producing technical reports and project documentation that meets legislative, regulatory, client and internal quality standards.</li><li style=\"color:rgb(255,255,255);\">Working closely with colleagues to ensure safe, efficient and high‑quality offshore operations and fieldwork planning. </li></ul><span style=\"color:rgb(255,255,255);\"><br>This role combines: </span><ul><li style=\"color:rgb(255,255,255);\">Offshore operations.</li><li style=\"color:rgb(255,255,255);\">Practical engineering.</li><li style=\"color:rgb(255,255,255);\">Ocean science.</li><li style=\"color:rgb(255,255,255);\">Renewable energy.</li><li style=\"color:rgb(255,255,255);\">Data and technology.</li></ul><span style=\"color:rgb(255,255,255);\"> This role offers genuine variety — combining technical workshop activity, offshore operations and collaborative project work.<br> <br><strong>About You: </strong><br> <br>We’re looking for a practical, motivated metocean engineer/oceanographer who enjoys working with specialist equipment and thrives in a dynamic, project‑driven marine environment.<br> <br>We are looking for someone with: </span><ul><li style=\"color:rgb(255,255,255);\">Level 3 qualification or above in science, engineering, electrical or mechanical disciplines, or a degree in an oceanographic-related subject or equivalent demonstrable knowledge and experience</li><li style=\"color:rgb(255,255,255);\">Two years’ plus industry experience in a relevant technical or engineering role (preferred).</li><li style=\"color:rgb(255,255,255);\">Hands‑on experience delivering technical projects, including deployment of metocean instrumentation in coastal and offshore environments.</li><li style=\"color:rgb(255,255,255);\">Practical workboat experience.</li><li style=\"color:rgb(255,255,255);\">Fieldwork or marine survey experience.</li><li style=\"color:rgb(255,255,255);\">A systematic, methodical approach with strong attention to detail.</li><li style=\"color:rgb(255,255,255);\">Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, data loggers, and instrument interfaces with satellite/GSM telemetry systems.</li><li style=\"color:rgb(255,255,255);\">Strong communication skills and the confidence to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.</li><li style=\"color:rgb(255,255,255);\">Experience preparing risk assessments and method statements.</li><li style=\"color:rgb(255,255,255);\">Full manual UK driving licence (ability to travel to offshore mobilisation sites as required).</li></ul><span style=\"color:rgb(255,255,255);\"> <br>You’ll also need to be: </span><ul><li style=\"color:rgb(255,255,255);\">Comfortable working to deadlines in a fast‑paced environment</li><li style=\"color:rgb(255,255,255);\">Willing to travel (primarily within the UK and Europe, with occasional further travel)</li><li style=\"color:rgb(255,255,255);\">Flexible and adaptable to changing schedules driven by vessel availability and weather conditions.</li><li style=\"color:rgb(255,255,255);\">Positive, proactive and eager to learn.</li></ul><span style=\"color:rgb(255,255,255);\"><strong> </strong><strong> </strong><br><strong>Why Join Partrac and the Venterra Group?</strong><br><strong> </strong><br>At Partrac, you’re trusted to use your initiative and encouraged to make a real impact.
