This role helps maintain product quality, cleanliness, and the overall appearance of the bakery department.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Package, label, and stock baked goods such as breads, rolls, donuts, cakes, and cookies.</li><li>Assist with basic baking and finishing tasks (e.g., icing, slicing, decorating, or baking off frozen products).</li><li>Set up and maintain attractive bakery displays and product signage.</li><li>Monitor product freshness, rotate stock, and remove outdated or damaged items.</li><li>Maintain clean and sanitary bakery and deli cases, prep areas, and equipment.</li><li>Answer customer questions and assist with special orders or product recommendations.</li><li>Follow food safety and sanitation standards at all times.</li><li>Slice, weigh, and package deli meats and cheeses according to customer specifications.</li><li>Prepare and display deli items such as salads, preparing rotisserie chicken, sandwiches, and hot foods.</li><li>Label and price products accurately.</li><li>Assist with inventory, receiving, and restocking of deli and bakery items.</li><li>Answer customer questions about ingredients, preparation, and recommendations.</li><li>Follow all store policies and health department regulations.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent preferred.</li><li>Previous bakery, food service, or grocery experience is helpful but not required.</li><li>Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.</li><li>Good communication and customer service skills.</li><li>Basic math and reading skills.</li><li>Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs.</li><li>Comfortable working in warm environments (near ovens or proofers).</li></ul><p><strong>Working Conditions:</strong></p><ul><li>Fast-paced retail environment with frequent exposure to flour, sugar, and other baking ingredients.</li><li>May involve early morning shifts and working around hot ovens and equipment.</li><li>Must follow strict hygiene and food safety guidelines.</li></ul>",
