We offer <u>competitive pay and benefits, and well-being programs</u> to support you and your family. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>To Learn More Visit: http://www.geosyntec.com/careers/.</p>\n<h2>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Implement, interpret and apply technical specifications, construction drawings, and work plans;</li>\n <li>Support project design team and provide constructability reviews of design plans and drawings;</li>\n <li>Effectively communicate proposed design modifications to the Engineer-of-Record in a timely and professional manner;</li>\n <li>Ensure materials, tools, and equipment are delivered and utilized properly to facilitate quality construction;</li>\n <li>Review, recommend and approve contractor change orders delegated under client authority;</li>\n <li>Prepare detailed responses to contractor requests for information and clarification to the contract documents in a timely manner;</li>\n <li>Review and approve contractors’ construction quality control (CQC) procedures including material submittals and manufacturers’ quality control (MQC) documents for completeness and compliance. Maintain complete and accurate files for each submittal;</li>\n <li>Maintain time and production records, analyze construction schedules and critical path management (CPM), and monitor construction progress with respect to scheduling and CPM tasks;</li>\n <li>Review, track, and approve contractor and subcontractor pay requests, invoices, and payments on a timely basis;</li>\n <li>Prepare and approve subordinates’ final reports, work plans, health and safety documents, and the assembly of report appendices;</li>\n <li>Prepare progress meeting agendas and meeting minutes in an orderly and timely manner;</li>\n <li>Approve and issue field change requests and request change orders;</li>\n <li>Review and edit field document corrective action strategies to address substandard or non-compliant workmanship or materials;</li>\n <li>Develop and prepare sampling, testing schedules, and detailed test data summaries;</li>\n <li>Review field documentation and laboratory tests of construction materials and verify their accuracy and compliance with the project specifications;</li>\n <li>Establish, organize, and maintain field offices to ensure accurate, secure, and well-organized project records;</li>\n <li>Identify project staffing requirements and prepare and maintain on-site personnel schedules to meet project deadlines;</li>\n <li>Interact with project personnel including, contractors, project managers, engineers and clients to cultivate an integrated team approach through open lines of communication and participation in work progress meetings;</li>\n <li>Implement and abide by the policies and procedures outlined in the site-specific project health and safety plans (HASP) and the company’s Health and Safety policies and procedures; and</li>\n <li>Identify and participate in new business development opportunities, proposal preparations, and negotiating scopes of work.</li>\n <li>Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites, and other business locations, as needed.</li>\n <li>Fieldwork: Up to 100%</li>\n <li>Overnight travel: Up to 100%</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Education and Licensure</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>A Bachelor’s degree in construction science, construction management, engineering, physical science, environmental science, or related subjects and a minimum of seven (7) years of applicable experience or equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, ability and construction management skills. (preferred)</li>\n <li>Associate degree or a college diploma and a minimum nine (9) years of applicable experience or equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, ability and construction management skills. (preferred)</li>\n <li>High School diploma and eleven (11) years applicable experience or equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, ability and construction management skills. (required)</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Skills, Experience and Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Prior experience managing large multi-task construction or environmental remediation projects and sophisticated estimating and scheduling techniques. (required)</li>\n <li>Solid waste landfill and coal combustion residual pond closure experience (preferred)</li>\n <li>Previous project management background and knowledge of CPM software. (preferred).</li>\n <li>Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Windows based software applications (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint etc.). (required)</li>\n <li>Technical understanding of site investigation, construction quality assurance, and/or construction management procedures for solid waste facility or environmental remediation projects. (required)</li>\n <li>Ability to monitor several different types of construction and environmental activities simultaneously. (required)</li>\n <li>Strong willingness to work outdoors with interest in building a career in the environmental consulting field. (required)</li>\n <li>Ability to speak and hear, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or craw. (required)</li>\n <li>Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, be self-motivated, and possess a strong work ethic.
