In operation for more than 60 years, University Radiology staffs, manages and provides preliminary and final subspecialty interpretations and consultative support for hospitals, imaging centers and other medical facilities, and serves as the academic radiology faculty at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Our physicians interpret over 2.1 million radiology procedures per year.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>University Radiology is seeking a full-time <strong>MRI Technologist Assistant </strong>to assist our Remote MRI Technolgist at our Radiology Operations Command Center (ROCC)<strong>.</strong> This role will be based in our <strong>Lacey, NJ Office</strong><strong>.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>This position will be Monday - Friday from 11:30am - 8:00pm</strong></p>\n<p><strong>**Eligible for 15% Shift Differential Pay**</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The MRI Technologist Assistant shall assist the Remote MRI Technologist with patient flow and procedures.  Technical Assistants are not permitted to perform diagnostic examinations on patients.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Has to be Level 2 MR Safety Trained</li>\n <li>Has to be CPR Certified</li>\n <li>Maintains knowledge of Imaging Coils and the ability to position patients in the MRI Scanner in an efficient and safe manner and assist the Remote MR Technologist.</li>\n <li>Must communicate with the Remote MR Technologist effectively and clearly.</li>\n <li>Able to explain the all of the procedures being performed to the patient</li>\n <li>Must properly screen all patients with Metal detection wand for safe entrance into MR room.</li>\n <li>Obtain all clinical information from the patient or referring physician for the scheduled procedure and document.</li>\n <li>Takes accurate patient history with all necessary MRI safety information before the procedure/ </li>\n <li>Knows the pre-cert requirements for all of the exams being performed.</li>\n <li>Performs vital signs on patients. </li>\n <li>Knows the location of the supply items in the department.</li>\n <li>Understands and applies coordination skills to locate patient information and images using all systems.</li>\n <li>Maintains cleanliness of Patient changing area and MR Scan Room.</li>\n <li>May require heavy lifting of coils up to 30 pounds.</li>\n <li>May require lifting patients for proper placement onto the examination table for procedures. </li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned. </li>\n</ul>\n<p>*Will be required to perform duties in or near areas containing specialized imaging equipment and must be able to adhere to all department and facility safety protocols.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Completion of approved MR Technologist Assistant program, including hands-on clinical training</li>\n <li>Excellent communication skills </li>\n <li>Medical office experience a plus, but not required</li>\n <li>Knowledge of medical terminology a plus, but not required</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Benefits</h2>\n<p>University Radiology offers a comprehensive benefits program including medical, dental and life insurance, 401k/pension, and profit-sharing plans, generous paid time off policy and more. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Pay Range:</h2>\n<p>From $23</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em>HR Salary determinations will be made upon numerous factors including but not limited to years of experfience, education, and operational needs.</em></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Join our growing team!</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>University Radiology  is an Equal Opportunity Employer, all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status.</p>",
