We are recruiting for a Mobile Fitter Engineer, covering the whole of Southern Water area. You will need to be organised and have good attention to detail. font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Position: </span>Mobile Mechanic (also known as a HGV Field Service Engineer)</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Location: </span>Based out of the Millbrook depot (covering Southampton area) but travelling across all of the Southern Water area which covers Sussex, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">About the Role:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">You will be responsible for a wide variety vehicle related maintenance including but not limited to:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Hydraulic and High Pressure Jetting Systems</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Possess in-depth knowledge of hydraulic systems, including pumps, hoses, and control mechanisms.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Specialise in maintaining and troubleshooting high-pressure jetting systems used in drain and sewer cleaning operations.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Conduct regular inspections and testing to ensure the optimal performance of hydraulic and jetting equipment.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Vehicle Maintenance</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of the company's fleet of vehicles, with a particular emphasis on hydraulic components.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic and high-pressure jetting system issues to ensure timely and effective repairs.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Perform preventive maintenance tasks on hydraulic systems to maximise reliability.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Repair and Troubleshooting</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergencies involving hydraulic and jetting systems, providing on-site repairs to minimise downtime.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Utilise diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and rectify technical issues related to high-pressure equipment.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Collaborate with the wider team to analyse recurring problems and implement preventive measures.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Legislation and Compliance</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Stay up-to-date with relevant legislation and industry standards related to hydraulic systems and high-pressure jetting operations.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Ensure all maintenance and repair activities comply with health and safety regulations, environmental standards, and industry best practices.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Implement and promote safe working practices among the team in accordance with legal requirements.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Be aware of all Lanes Group policies and your responsibilities towards them.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">About You:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">The ideal candidate will be hard working and respectful and comply with health and safety standards. Having a strong background in commercial HGV vehicle servicing is essential. You will need to have a Class B Driving Licence and fully recognised industry qualifications (City &amp; Guilds or Industry Equivalent). Class C+E / HGV Class 2 Drivers Licence are essential. IOSH or NEBOSH qualifications would be useful.
