Perform clinical nursing duties and responsibilities with high integrity and quality.<br />\r\n2. Identify and respond appropriately to the health care needs of all members who are on-site at NAHC, regardless if they are appointed.<br />\r\n3. Assist and facilitate members in obtaining medical services through scheduling appointments, triaging members (phone and in person,) and assessing members who walk-in to the clinic seeking services.<br />\r\n4. Conduct nurse visits which may include, but not be limited to: &nbsp;wound care, pregnancy tests, injections, blood pressure (BP) checks, urine toxicology screens, pill counts, medication reconciliation, TB tests, etc.<br />\r\n5. Obtain and record vital signs, recognize any variances, outliers or red flags, and take appropriate follow up action. &nbsp;<br />\r\n6. Triage and assess members, and obtain health information and data pertinent to clinical care. &nbsp;<br />\r\n7. Perform basic in-house lab tests; obtain and process specimens for outside laboratories.<br />\r\n8. Perform EKG, audiometric, snellen and other necessary member screening tests.<br />\r\n9. According to departmental protocol, provide medications and conduct medication reconciliation. &nbsp;<br />\r\n10. Administer IM, ID, SC, PO, oxygen and nebulized medications as ordered by the clinicians.&nbsp;<br />\r\n11. Assist in medical procedures as needed, as well as assist providers with complicated and complex member visits, as needed.<br />\r\n12. Counsel members regarding health education needs, preventative health and chronic conditions.&nbsp;<br />\r\n13. Support the providers by processing medication refills, delivering test results, calling patients, etc.<br />\r\n14.&nbsp; Manage mammograms, biopsies, breast ultrasounds under the guidance of providers.<br />\r\n15. In coordination with providers, oversee the abnormal pap smear process. &nbsp;This will include tracking, scheduling appointments, and recalling members, etc.&nbsp;<br />\r\n16. Perform thorough and timely orientation and training for new staff and volunteers, as requested.&nbsp;<br />\r\n17.&nbsp; Act as Medical Assistant, when needed and requested. &nbsp;<br />\r\n18.&nbsp; Act as back up to Flow Coordinator, helping ensure optimal clinic flow and scheduling.</p>\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Quality Assurance</strong><br />\r\n19. Assist with evaluating nursing policies and procedures and other operational policies as they relate to the Medical department, as requested.&nbsp;<br />\r\n20. Develop, train and implement policies, procedures, protocols and standing orders, as requested.</p>\r\n\r\n<p><strong>General Duties and Responsibilities</strong><br />\r\n21. Participate in Saturday clinics as scheduled.<br />\r\n22. Member Care: Demonstrate understanding and apply working knowledge of safety policies and ensuring safe member practices.&nbsp;<br />\r\n23. Employee Safety: Safely performs all duties; follows required protective protocols to ensure personal safety as well the safety of others.<br />\r\n24. Must maintain compliance with ergonomic safety standards; be mindful of posture and regularly practice ergonomic stretches.<br />\r\n25. Quality Improvement: Actively participate in internal quality improvement teams and work with members proactively to drive quality improvement initiatives in accordance with the mission and strategic goals of the organization, federal and state laws and regulations, and accreditation standards, when assigned.&nbsp;<br />\r\n26.
