This role supports patients throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care, ensuring the highest standards of safety, comfort, and clinical excellence.</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">Position Details</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Employment Type: PRN (as needed)</li>\n<li>Shift: 2nd Shift, 12-hour shifts</li>\n<li>Schedule: Varies based on departmental needs</li>\n<li>Travel: None required</li>\n<li>Department: Women’s Health</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">Key Responsibilities</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide direct nursing care to obstetrical patients throughout labor, delivery, and recovery</li>\n<li>Monitor maternal and fetal well-being, recognizing and responding to changes in condition</li>\n<li>Assist physicians and providers during labor, delivery, and postpartum procedures</li>\n<li>Administer medications and maintain accurate, timely documentation</li>\n<li>Educate patients and families on postpartum care, newborn health, and recovery</li>\n<li>Respond effectively to urgent and emergent situations</li>\n<li>Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care team members to ensure optimal outcomes</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">Minimum Qualifications</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Licensure: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina</li>\n<li>Certifications:\n<ul>\n<li>Basic Life Support (BLS) – required</li>\n<li>Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – required within 6 months of hire</li>\n<li>Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) – required within 6 months of hire</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li>Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">Core Competencies</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care</li>\n<li>Strong communication and teamwork skills</li>\n<li>Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations</li>\n<li>Clinical judgment and critical thinking abilities</li>\n<li>Commitment to safety, quality, and professionalism</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">Employment Requirements</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Compliance with all health and safety policies, including vaccination requirements (approved exemptions considered)</li>\n<li>Successful completion of a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening (post-offer)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">Benefits</span></p>\n<p>PRN employees are eligible for select benefits in accordance with hospital policy.
