    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Nakpuna Consulting is looking for a SAP Security Specialist to be part of a team supporting the USINDOPACOM Alpha contract. The SAP Security Specialist serves as the principal subject-matter expert and advisor to senior leadership on all aspects of Department of Defense (DoD) Special Access Program (SAP) and Special Access Required (SAR) management. The SAP Security Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive SAP/SAR security programs to ensure full regulatory compliance, safeguard mission-critical operations, and mitigate risk across all security disciplines.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>The following reflects management’s definition of key functions for this job and reserves the right to assign additional duties as necessary to meet operational requirements:</p>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Serve as the SAP security subject-matter expert and advisor to senior leadership on policy, management, and program implementation</p></li>\n <li><p>Develop, plan, and oversee SAP/SAR security requirements across personnel, operations, AIS, industrial, information, physical, and communications security disciplines</p></li>\n <li><p>Interpret and apply DoD and federal security principles to resolve complex security challenges</p></li>\n <li><p>Develop and execute comprehensive security plans that address all functional areas, including physical, information, personnel, and IT security</p></li>\n <li><p>Identify and formalize risk-mitigation measures and develop responses to emerging threats</p></li>\n <li><p>Establish controls, milestones, and incident-tracking mechanisms to detect and resolve security issues early</p></li>\n <li><p>Enforce operational and mission-assurance standards for SAP programs, validating access, maintaining personnel security records, and managing adverse information files</p></li>\n <li><p>Advise on policy implementation and procedural improvements for organization-wide security programs</p></li>\n <li><p>Ensure physical security standards for facility construction, modification, and protection at collateral, SCI, and SAP levels, both domestic and international</p></li>\n <li><p>Review Fixed Facility Checklists and conduct self-inspections to ensure compliance</p></li>\n <li><p>Manage security for SAPFs and SCIFs during construction, renovation, and modification phases</p></li>\n <li><p>Prepare co-utilization agreements and facility Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in accordance with multi-level security guidelines</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>The SAP Security Specialist role requires demonstrated expertise in DoD SAP/SAR policy and security management.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Education/Experience:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Required:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Bachelor’s degree</p></li>\n <li><p>Minimum 6 years of experience in security, including 4 years in SAP/SAR or SCI management</p></li>\n <li><p>Comprehensive knowledge of DoD SAP policy and security disciplines (personnel, operations, AIS, industrial, information, physical, communications)</p></li>\n <li><p>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to design and execute complex security programs</p></li>\n <li><p>Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience drafting SOPs and policy documents</p></li>\n <li><p>Proven leadership supporting senior-level decision-making and managing cross-functional security initiatives</p></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Information Assurance, or a related field</p></li>\n <li><p>Professional certifications such as CISSP, SAPPC, or equivalent</p></li>\n <li><p>Experience with facility security management, including SAPF/SCIF construction and compliance</p></li>\n <li><p>Prior experience supporting military or other national-security organizations</p></li>\n <li><p>Experience conducting security inspections, audits, and risk assessments in multi-level classified environments</p></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Clearance:</strong>  Active TS/SCI security clearance required. Must be a U.S. citizen.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Location:</strong> Must reside in Honolulu, Hawai'i.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong> The ideal candidate must at a minimum, be able to meet the following physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to perform repetitive motions with the hands, wrists, and fingers.</li>\n <li>Ability to engage in and follow audible communications in emergencies.</li>\n <li>Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and work on a computer.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>The Nakupuna Companies use a market-based compensation strategy to ensure that our employees are compensated within applicable market ranges commensurate with multiple factors, including but not limited to the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements, and position location. The projected compensation range for this position is $85,000.00 to $102,000.00 (annualized USD). The salary range displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Nakupuna Companies total compensation package for employees.</p>",
