    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Cabinet Peaks Medical Center is looking for a Mammography Technician to join the Imaging team!</span></p>\n<p>Under the supervision of the Imaging Manager and under the general direction of the Imaging Medical Director, performs<br>quality and complete imaging procedures to assist in a diagnosis of disease and injuries. The Imaging Technologist works<br>effectively with patients and patients' families and maintains a cooperative relationship with interdepartmental personnel.<br>Technologist is responsible for providing patient education, quality patient care, and will meet all regulatory compliance. This<br>is not a comprehensive job description, and other duties or responsibilities may be assigned as needed.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Major Job Duties &amp; Responsibilities</span></p>\n<p>Produces quality exams within assigned modalities and assigned areas, including portable and C-Arm applications, X-Ray, DXA, CT, and fluoroscopic procedures. Applies principles of radiation protection, choice of protocol, knowledge of anatomy and pathology.<br>Maintains patient records and files, as appropriate. Properly navigates PACS. Provides accurate history, completed forms, and appropriate documentation of each exam performed.<br>Actively participates in departmental quality assurance program including preventative maintenance and other.<br>quality measures.<br>Practices patient safety including correct patient identification, safe transfers, radiation safety, standard precautions, infection control, fall prevention, and other patient safety measures.<br>Follows appropriate rules of punctuality, shift rotation, and modality coverage.<br>Performs other duties as requested by Manager.<br>Follows departmental policies and procedures.<br>Prepares and administers contrast media through IV or other routes.<br>Provides instruction and supervision to radiologic technologist students who are fulfilling their clinical requirements at CPMC.<br>Provides administrative duties, as needed, in connection with the front desk responsibilities of the department – alongside or in the absence of the receptionist. </p>\n<p>Maintains competency in Mammography, 200 exams/ 24 months, 15 mammography-based CE credits / 36 months.<br>Responsible for mammography QC and QA as defined by the MQSA.</p>\n<p>Successful submission and completion of the ACR accreditation and potential audits.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Skills, Knowledge, &amp; Abilities</span></p>\n<p>Pursues continuing education.<br>In absence of Manager, is able to assume responsibilities of the department.<br>Able to work well in situations of stress.<br>Practices professional interpersonal communication.<br>Must be willing and able to take call.<br>Must be willing to learn other imaging modalities as Manager and Medical Director see fit.<br>Able and willing to perform other duties as assigned.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Education Requirements</span></p>\n<p>Technologist must be a HS graduate or equivalent and have completed an accredited program in radiologic technology.<br>Technologist must be registered as a radiologic technologist and mammography (preferred) through ARRT.<br>BLS required.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Experience</span></p>\n<p>Able to show competency in performing all exams required in assigned modality(ies).</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Schedule</span></p>\n<p>Technologist will take equal share in covering all shifts within the Imaging Department.</p>\n<p>This includes standard daytime hours,<br>nighttime hours, weekend shifts and night call shifts.</p>",
