Available courses are designed to prepare future educators with the knowledge, skills, and practical experience needed to support elementary students in developing their mathematical thinking.</span></p>\n<p><span>While this position is intended to cover the Fall 2026 semester, it may also lead to longer-term adjunct opportunities to meet ongoing departmental needs. Recognizing that one semester can feel too short for those seeking sustained adjunct work, the department aims to build a pool of reliable adjunct faculty, ensuring more even course allocation and continuity for both instructors and students.</span></p>\n<p><span><strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Teach assigned undergraduate education courses using effective, research-based instructional strategies.</span></li>\n <li><span>Design and deliver engaging lessons that integrate theory, practice, and field-based application.</span></li>\n <li><span>Support students in completing required field experiences to ensure alignment with course objectives and program standards.</span></li>\n <li><span>Incorporate current mathematics research, evidence- based practices, and technology into instruction.</span></li>\n <li><span>Assess student learning through a variety of methods and provide timely, constructive feedback.</span></li>\n <li><span>Maintain accurate records of student progress, grades, and fieldwork documentation.</span></li>\n <li><span>Communicate regularly and professionally with students, program faculty, and field placement partners.</span></li>\n <li><span>Ensure compliance with program prerequisites, GPA requirements, and state-mandated clearances.</span></li>\n <li><span>Demonstrate expertise in elementary mathematics instruction and/or training of teachers in mathematics instruction.</span></li>\n <li><span>Contribute to a supportive, inclusive classroom environment that prepares students to work with diverse learners.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><strong>QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Master’s degree in Mathematics Education, or a closely related field, required; doctorate preferred.</span></li>\n <li><span>Current teaching certification in Early Childhood, Elementary, or Math Specialist preferred.</span></li>\n <li><span>Minimum of 3–5 years of successful PK–12 classroom teaching experience in Elementary Mathematics Instruction.</span></li>\n <li><span>Demonstrated knowledge of elementary mathematics skill development</span></li>\n <li><span>Experience supervising or mentoring teacher candidates in field or clinical settings preferred.</span></li>\n <li><span>Strong interpersonal and written communication skills to support collaboration with students, faculty, and school partners.</span></li>\n <li><span>Commitment to inclusive excellence and the ability to work effectively with diverse learners.</span></li>\n <li><span>Proficiency with instructional technology and digital tools to enhance instruction.</span></li>\n <li><span>Ability to meet fieldwork supervision requirements, including completion of all necessary clearances.</span></li>\n <li><span>Evidence of effective teaching at the college/university level preferred.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><strong>ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:&nbsp;</strong>Candidates should be comfortable using digital tools for documentation and communication (e.g. Google Suite, email, video conferencing, AI).</span><span>&nbsp;</span></p>\n<p><span><strong>TO APPLY:&nbsp;</strong>Qualified candidates should submit a cover letter, current resume or CV, evidence of effective teaching, a 1- 2 page statement of teaching, and one (1) reference letter through the Moravian University employment portal by clicking “Apply Now.” All documents should be uploaded as PDFs.</span></p>\n<p><span>Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.</span></p>",
