Join us, and you'll find not just a job but a chance to grow professionally, contribute meaningfully, and make a difference in the lives of those we serve.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>How we reward you</strong></p>\n<p>401(k) plan that provides a 100% match on the first 3% of your contributions and 50% of the next 2%</p>\n<p>Healthcare plans to support your needs</p>\n<p>Virtual doctor visits</p>\n<p>Access to Centers of Excellence with Barnes Jewish Hospital and Mayo Clinic’s Complex Care Program</p>\n<p>15% Associate Discount</p>\n<p>Dave Ramsey’s SmartDollar Program</p>\n<p>Associate Assistance Program</p>\n<p>RK Cares Associate Hardship Program</p>\n<p>24/7 Chaplaincy Services</p>\n<p>Company paid YMCA Family Membershi</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>JOB SUMMARY</strong></p>\n<p>The purpose of the Transportation Mechanic II is to provide support by identifying repairs and/or replacement needs for RKT semi-trucks and trailers, assisting and/or performing repairs and preventive maintenance, and ensuring completion of repairs in accordance DOT regulations.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>JOB DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ensures equipment availability for use by completing preventative maintenance schedules, installing component and part upgrades</li>\n <li>Complete dry service on equipment to include lubrication of components, fluid checks and inspection of all hoses and belts</li>\n <li>Complete wet service on equipment to include refilling fluids (engine oil, coolant, brake fluid, windshield fluid, etc)</li>\n <li>Diagnosis electrical malfunctions for the purpose of determining needed repairs and/or replacements</li>\n <li>Inspect, service and replace trailer parts, including tire checks</li>\n <li>Maintain hub and axles and adjusting or replace when required</li>\n <li>Service and repair the brake, electrical and hydraulic system</li>\n <li>Repairs and/or replaces starters, alternators, and air pumps</li>\n <li>Repairs and/or replaces water pumps and T-Stats</li>\n <li>Ensure that equipment meets the U.S. Department of Transportation road safety requirements</li>\n <li>Compile inspection reports, documenting repairs and reporting all findings to management</li>\n <li>Perform more extensive repairs to equipment with the supervision of a Maintenance Tech III </li>\n <li>Have a sound understanding of repair tools, equipment, and testing machinery</li>\n <li>Maintains tools, equipment and/or shop area for the purpose of ensuring the availability of tools and equipment, and safety within the workspace </li>\n <li>May be required to cross train and perform other duties.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>At least 2 years of semi-truck mechanic experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.</li>\n <li>Excellent customer service skills</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.</li>\n <li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</li>\n <li>Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated behaviors must reflect integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.</li>\n <li>Awareness of operational safety and DOT requirements</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Physical Requirements </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time. </li>\n <li>Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times. </li>\n <li>Must be able to access and navigate each department across facilities.</li>\n <li>Must be able to verbally communicate effectively with others (in-person and via electronic devices).</li>\n <li>Must have close visual acuity. </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.</p>\n<p>The pay range for this position is $26.00-$31.00 hourly.
