    "description": "<h2>Position Overview</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Department:</strong> 6 East - Med surg</li>\n <li><strong>Schedule:</strong> 3 - 12 hour shifts. 7p - 7a</li>\n <li><strong>Work Location:</strong> UAB St. Vincent's East </li>\n <li><strong>Benefits for eligible positions only include:</strong> generous paid time off, paid parental leave, Associate Assistance Program, Tuition Reimbursement Program, and more </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What You Will Do</h2>\n<p>Perform basic clinical and non-clinical patient care activities under supervision.</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Assist patients with ambulation as necessary. This may include helping them to a recliner in their room, walk to the bathroom or down the hall. Assist dismissed patients in getting safely to their vehicles.</li>\n <li>Assist patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living.</li>\n <li>Reports findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff. Documents necessary records.</li>\n <li>Keeps patient rooms clean, orderly, and maintains medical equipment.</li>\n <li>Performs certain technical patient care duties in the hospital as directed by the staff nurse such as oxygen setup, foley catheter care, pulse oximetry setup, specimen collection and EKGs.</li>\n <li>Obtain and record vitals, weight, and inputs and outputs.</li>\n <li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What You Will Need</h2>\n<p>Licensure / Certification / Registration:</p>\n<p>• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
