    "description": "<p>Founded in 1921, HMC Gears has become one of the lead manufacturers of large gears, and their components, in the United States. As a custom job shop, every day brings a diverse set of challenges and successes. Our welders provide invaluable skills to our production team and take our gears to the next level.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Welders are responsible for welding and fabricating heavy metal components by hand or flame-cutting equipment according to blueprints and specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience with MIG, TIG, FCAW, and SAW (submerged arc welding) welding techniques and a commitment to producing high-quality work.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Responsibilities include but not limited to:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Reading and understanding blueprints and drawings</li>\n<li>Setup parts</li>\n<li>Weld, cut, grind, and run production of large gears</li>\n<li>Assembly and disassembly</li>\n<li>Self-inspect and ensure welds meet quality standards</li>\n<li>Perform preventative maintenance on welding equipment</li>\n<li>Load/unload and monitor oven</li>\n<li>Operating overhead cranes and forklifts</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Qualifications</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Certified welders are preferred but not required</li>\n<li>Welding experience (Arc, Tig, Mig) required</li>\n<li>Ability to lift 50 pounds as required without assistance</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>This position can be exposed to heat, cold, fumes or airborne particles, debris such as metal shavings, loud noise, vibration and moving mechanical parts. Protective gear such as earplugs, safety glasses, steel toe footwear, and gloves are required.</span><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><br></span>The physical demands of this position include vision, hearing, manual dexterity, standing or walking for long periods, reaching, bending, lifting and carrying up to 50lbs, climbing, kneeling, crouching, crawling, stooping, pushing, and pulling.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">This is a permanent position with competitive wages and exceptional benefits including PTO, company paid holidays, health insurance, company paid dental insurance, group life/ short-term disability insurance, optional wellness programs, retirement plan, and more.  </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">*Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. and able to commute to Princeton, IN.</span></p>",
